I want the 2000th post! haha Thanks so much guys for all of your support! Believe me all of this humbles me and drives me to produce even more exciting designs!! its going to be a exciting future ahead!!

darn, missed it by one hahaha

actually guys the "glassbreaker" is not a glassbreaker at all..its a screwdriver...but regardless its deleted from the model...its one of those design moments where it looks good in CAD but after the proto was made then I was like nah..dont like it..haha so its gone

How about you do a special contest where 10 lucky posters from this thread get to send their 551 to Mr. Hinderer himself for a stonewashed and signed ti side?

T-shirt is a nice idea....:)

...but to do this knife justice,I'm thinking it would need to be titanium mail...as in light armor.In stonewash or black.And available in sizes up to pup-tent size,for us XXXL Knifevultures....

....which would totally blow my miserly savings plan for the upcoming ZT/H 0550,the ZT/H 0660 X-19 Flipper,the ZT/H 0770 AO Carbon Fiber,the ZT/H 0880 Spanto Flat Grind,or the ZT/H 0990 Fixed Blade Elmax/Vanax Composite Blade....

Maybe if we all said,"We want some more,sirs!PrettyPlease?"

Easy now, no piggybacking. Rick said he'd put his "John Hancock" on my 0551 first. I'm sending it right to his shop when it arrives. :D
 
Just discovered this earlier this week. I still haven't read through the entire thread but I'm on kershawguy's pre-order standby list. Now all I need is for enough of you ahead of me on the list to have a sudden unexpected change of heart. ;)

I also wanna say thanks to Thomas and Rick for all the information they've added to this thread. Way to go guys!

Ha! touche Cziv.. you gave me the idea, not fair of me to encroach on your special signed edition........ however should you be willing to share the rights to the idea... haha. I think getting Ricks signature engraved in the Ti by him would be AMAZING. If it happened to come back stonewashed or anodized... well that's icing on the cake..
 
It's tough to read through 100+ pages, so can someone let me know if the handle is anodized, etched or otherwise to provide a little more grip?
 
the handle is Ti (not anodized) and G10... plenty of grip with the combo. I never once felt like the SNG or XM18 needed more grip with the same setup.
 
Even after all this excitement, this has almost dropped off the first page. I can't let that happen.

As beautiful as it's looking now, I can hardly wait until we see the blade post-tumble. I didn't think I could be more excited for this knife. Thanks again Rick, Thomas, and everyone else at ZT!

Can't believe I forgot one, but agreed. A big preemptive thanks to kershawguy from all of us greedy little knifenuts on his list.
 
Not yet and Thomas is taking the weekend off... ask again monday... but i'm hoping for shipping by Friday.

Well, once everyone has this fine knife in their hands courtesy of kershawguy, don't forget Spark is taking nominations for new inductees in the Hall of Fame. I'm sure Dave would appreciate the nods and props, and with service like his, he deserves the award. Let your voices be heard!
