Doghouse is filling up pretty quick now. Im away from the computer in the daytime so yall get a reprieve from me for a while. Sounds like BB and Umi are going to need more than a doghouse. Maybe Identity Protekshun Program;)

I think Ndogs doghouse is pretty palatial, I've seen some pictures of it as we all have including some of him hanging around on top by ropes and barefoot as usual. Probably room for all of us, might need a bigger fridge and maybe a BBQ grill.

I gotta check in on him, he's been off the grid, maybe he's mad at me.........say it ain't so......


Well speak of the deeevil hisself, we typing at the same time. Where you at during the day that's so important to be away from here, I need to start watching the DOD and create an alert system so you don't miss out none?

Not mad! No way. I got a temporary job doing some moving. I been moving a machine shop into the dog house. Now we got a big fridge, and soon a milling machine, lathe, sheet metal brake, sander, hmm??? Oh and one of them fancy CNC cutting machines. No puter in the daytime tho so Im missing out on the DOTD's but Ill be back! Things should be back to normbull after next week. I went flintknappin in loozianna last weekend but looks like ill be cleanin out the doghouse this weekend. I should post a video of the doghouse i guess.
 
All that machinery in the doghouse and no room for your friends no mo. Just ain't right I tell ya.

Bookie, sadly no, I've never had the pleasure. My Grandfather was a Master Sargent during WWI and fought in most of the major battles. He was highly decorated including several purple hearts. Like most soldiers he never spoke of his own personal combat activity. However, as a child I would sit on his lap and he would talk about the Gurkas that fought beside him in the trenches. He mostly spoke of their night time maneuvers, some that could run a chill up your spine. Of course he always brought up the Khukuri. He was duly impressed with both the Gurkas and their knives. Anyway, I've always wanted one. Fast forward fifty plus years and I decided to fulfil my wants. I did some research and I ended up here at HI. Glad I did.

EMS for the 18 inch 23 ounce Gelbu Special by Purna.

I really shouldn't do this so soon after my last purchase (a horn handled ASTK that arrived last tuesday), but, this is one I've been waiting for.

Not sure where Ndog lives, but, I know it's less than a 2 hour drive from me. Maybe he'll have extra room in the doghouse for me when my wife finds out about this one.

I was looking at that GS, glad you picked it up, definitely saved me a licking from the missus.
 
Not sure if I got the GS, yet. But, I figure it will make a good little sister for one of my first HI khuks, a 22 in 32 ounce chiruwa handled GS.
 
Dang, I was sleeping today. That AK Bowie is singing to me so loudly, probably one of my favorites I've seen!! So much so that i sent Auntie an email after skimming the replies...and missing the very first one haha

Nice score Bigbore, and Sleeper if you get the Gelbu. I was eyeing the one put up the other day, and would have scooped up this one had you not emailed first. I've said it before and I'll say it again, that light wood and brass fittings look is mighty difficult for me to resist.

The four on the left are old style with the palm swell and big tang. Notice how the new ones are being made like the old. The fifth one from the left is newer by Bhakta. Personally I like all of them but something about the Bhakta made one that is especially pleasing as well.

Dog, the largest one is a beast! What is the OAL and weight? When I started here, I said to myself I'd never order a Bowie because I have plenty from the last knife maker I used for over twenty years. As of this week I now have two from HI. The first was a Kumar but, when I saw Lachhu's different style I couldn't help myself!
