Newest version model of the 3V Master Hunter , Taiwan , bare steel blade, is ON SALE !

Received today ! ☺️

Washed off the grease and used to skin and dice up my fresh pineapple .

Not the most slicey ,best kitchen knife ever . But got the job done OK .

Left the pineapple juices on the knife for several hours , just to see if it would patina a bit .

Maybe a little darker cast to the finish , which is a matt beadblast IIRC . Always mix up with stone wash . (see pics)

3/16" spine and IDK about being deeper bellied .

I have only my old San Mai MH "Plus" to compare .

I sash carried the new one today . Pretty easy to carry this size blade .

Tomorrow I'm gonna hammer this thing thru an engine block ...or maybe just gut another pineapple . :p

Fine haul there, Doc. Send links. Mods are surely asleep. Kidding. 😅

Im sure its tough just wont hold an edge long from that 4034 kiridashi i had ; that thing sucked...

I never was too set against Cold Steel using 4034 in budget value type offerings . Marketed as such, in separate model lines . :)

But I hate then using this budget steel on their supposedly best stuff , at relatively high list prices .

A great leap backward , IMO ! 🤬

I'd sure like to see "somebody"(else) buy one of the 4034 Natchez Bowie and really wail on it some . 🥳

Then report back . ;)

For $150 I’m tempted. It would make a good truck knife for… well, no real use, but you wouldn’t cry if it got stolen.

As a bump in the night knife, the Natchez,Laredo or the Kaos bowie would be great....

Hey , Please do !

:)I'd really like to see a decent review, from someone not up GSM's ** (see at bottom )
cable tang?
Cable tang has a purpose and is actually more expensive to make .

Acts to dampen harsh vibrations of hard strikes against other weapons or anything else .

It does make the handle itself more fragile to direct damage , of course .

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
**as... uh ... "assets" !

It is designed and built as a weapon. The cable tang is an upgrade. Don't use for fighting knife for bushcraft and it will be fine.
There used to be a Youtube video of a drunken Russian hammering a Natchez on the pommel until the handle collapsed .

Yeah ...don't do that , for sure .😒

Otherwise , they are pretty sturdy .

The Trail Master is so named and built more the woods .

My only groan with the Natchez is that it’s apparently cable tang? Full tang would have been nice.
TM ...all day long !

To me from your pics the grind lines look a little wavey no? Thanks,

a little wavey
IDK , maybe ? 1st pic is basically an enlargement .

I did not notice any significant flaws . This is a hard user for me , not decorative .

I do NOT need my OCD perfectionist BS being activated on this one . ;)

I battened the knife yesterday thru some hard old apple tree wood, and couldn't tell any damage to the edge except some dirt .:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I'm just happy to have this tough knife for the price I paid . YMMV . :)

I did notice that the Natchez is slightly redesigned. It doesnt have that curved spine anymore if you look at the new ones compared to the old ones, the spine is strait now, and it might have slightly more belly in the front of the blade. Its definitely much less curvy; I actually like these improvements. Now they need a leather sheath!
