Hi all,

Im new to the forum and I have to firstly thank everyone one for the various posts and info on this site that has greatly improved my knife making.

Does anyone know whats happening with Mr Livesay? as I have a back order that was paid for 4 months ago that I havent recieved the knives or any comms from Newt. Has anyone purchased any knives from him recently?

Regards, Stew

Welcome Stew!

As for whats happening with Mr Livesay, a bunch of other BF members have had bad experiences with him in the past, google it and see for yourself. I hope you dont get the shaft man, good luck.

Thanks for the input lads,
I suppose I will have to wait and see. I wish I had of done some research before I parted with my hard earnt cash.

My only bit of advice is to keep on hounding him. Keep calling and leave messages, send emails. Does his daughter & son-in-law still sell knives, if so, contact them.

I have found from personal experience that if Newt does deliver, he delivers to those making the most noise.

With you being in NZ, you have your work cut-out for you.

Just don't sit-back and wait. Newt wants you to do that.

Stew,

I too am having a hard time getting a hold of Newt. I got the same email back in Sept. saying "my NRGS is ready to ship...please send payment", so I did shortly after. It's not DECEMBER and NOTHING. I've emailed him and left messages. He did respond once and said he had been in a car accident. Apparently he was in the hospital for three weeks??? Seems to of had Facebook access during that time...Hmmmmm cause he posted messages on his "Newt Livesay Writer" site. I'm also new to this site. I just got to the point where I was looking for answers like you. Glad I did...sounds like I'm not alone.

More of the same behavior he's so well known for. It's a shame, as he makes very good working blades and turns out a hell of a nice-feeling handle.

I'm on a campaign of calling him DAILY and leaving messages, cause of course he doesn't answer. Next step...the Better Business Bureau. It's not about the money anymore, it's about the principle.
