Next knife in CruCarta

I don't know why people hate peel-ply CF. I can understand people thinking it's a waste of CF because you don't see the beauty of the CF weave, but it's still got the same structural properties, and just looks like a matte, dark grey G10.

I think you nailed it. It's just not Carbon Fiber at its best. It's cold and flat. Carbon Fiber can be so much better.

the grip on the Proficient is really nice, but not what I want in a folder.

I am a big fan of the old Cru-wear g10 Military - great knife.

I'd be happy to see anything in cru-wear, z-wear or pd#1 w/ micarta scales!!!

I still need to get some micarta scales for the pd#1 mule I have sitting around... :(

Reviving this thread. We're getting the CruCarta PM2, so what should be next. I'd still like to see:
Manix XL
Amalgam
A bunch of fixies - Street Bowie, Temperance (I prefer the original to the Temp2), Respect.

Crucarta manix 2 and military!
As mentioned above, I don't think we'll see the standard Military with a micarta scale. The fact that they changed the PM2 (which has much more extensive liners) to full liners would seem to confirm that. And given the Military sells far less than the PM2 and there is talk of a new design coming at some point in the future anyway, I am doubtful of a CruCarta Military any time soon. I would love to see a new Military sprint or exclusive in a tough, hi-alloy steel, though - CruWear, ZWear, 3V, 4V, v4e - all good with me.

A micarta slabbed full tang Street Beat with in either 3V or 4V would be a dream come true. That’d be an amazing combination for me. I like the smaller 3.5” Street Beat more than I do the 5” Bowie, but I’d be content with either one to be honest.
This is a great idea. Fred Perrin uses linen micarta (polished) for most of his custom Street Bowies. And he uses tough 1075 for most of his blades, so 3V or 4V would be a great upgrade but in the same design vein.

+1 on the Manix XL; would love to see the Kapara with it too!
Would love to see some C95 heft, to the Manix XL! The Manix XL seems danty, in comparison.

I'm down for a crucarta manix xl as well. The xl really needs some more sprint/dist. Exclusive love any way.

And I'm waiting for a Military the most. For me personally, I want a dlc cru wear military with green micarta scales. Even if I could get the blade, I could at least get custom scales later.
OD/Foliage/ranger green, please!

I love cru wear... it has really performed well for me. I'de like to see amalgam, kapara, pm2 and 3 with it.

Kapara is an Awesome knife! The one thing lacking, for me, was some grippiness .
Micarta would make it Amazing!!

Nothing wrong with micarta.
Although I kinda enjoy the smooth scales, iwb slacking around the house makes it a fantastic lazy knife.

I recently ordered another cruwear dream the manix2 .
Also makes a great anytime wear knife.

I agree with the iwb carry! The shape makes it very easy to carry there.
I modified my stock scales, for some grip..

I find the ergos on the kapara gives me a satisfying grip.
I see you like to tinker !

I would be afraid of messing up the knife to even attempt that !

I think the ergo's and feel in hand, are Awesome!
My main reason for the tinkering, to the grips, was getting it out of pocket and a little extra bite, when opening.
Which was fine with a thumb flick. Just not as much scale, when Spydie flick'n..

I do enjoy modifying!
Here's what I did to make it all comfy and stuff.. lol..

First was knocking the edge off, so it was more fluid and comfy, to Spydie flick..

Then I took the hump, off the spine. For a narrow look when closed. (Pictured with a Sage 5, that I gave a little "Stretch" feel too and acid etch'd)(I've done a Para 3 blade shape to another Sage 5)

Then I gave it the lines on the show scale and ate a 32oz Prime Rib..

It wasn't till then, when I felt the back side slipping from front traction, that I did the back scale.

After which I acid etch'd the blade, liners, hardware, and wire clip (from a LW Manix)

I like deep carry but not so deep, I can't get it out of my pocket.

I don't care of it's blade shape, scales, or whatever. I like making/modifying, for me.

Some Mule's, I reshaped and made scales for. Don't like 2nd one down, so much and I didn't make the wood scales, just reshaped a little..

Modified my Boomer52 Military scales and my friend wanted his done as well..

Scale swap and wire clip mod, my Native..

Wire clip mod, I was working on, for the Military..

Another friends CRKT, that needed sharpened and he mentioned not caring for the tanto shape..

List goes on, but I'm done.. lol.. Little side tracked
