Next Knife: Scrapyard Dumpster Mutt

I do not have them yet , I look to get them in hand within a couple of weeks but judging them by other post & pictures I can not wait until I can use and hold the NWA knife for my self ..

Now is as good a time as ever to compliment you on your quote in your sig TexasTony. Its a good quote.

I would like an NWA knife as well. They look amazing.

Thank you ! and yes the NWA knife looks awesome, the pictures posted made me jump on the ban wagon & instead of buying one I bought a pair.... I have a green spec ops survival sheath in the waiting for one of my NWA's , not a knock on the leather sheath's accompaning them,I just wanted to be able to make a small survival kit to carry with my nwa bf knife all in the sheath .

I emailed Nick regarding my interest, but never got a response. Is it because he is so busy? I sure would love a knife from him. Shipping would be cheap since we live so close.

I don't want to hijack this thread or over run it about Nick's BF knife but I would guess he is extremely busy and will soon be on vacation..try again is all I can say ,

This thread welcomes hijackers. :D Especially if they are helping me answer another question I asked.

I would LOVE to buy one of these. Thing is, I cant find them online for sale anywhere. $69 for a tank...I dont think thats pricey at all. I paid near that much for my RAT 3. With the DM, in my unknowledgeableness's opinion, you are getting much more. Whats that hook for on that one knife? prying? Cute place to rest your thum? I like all of those knives Dantor, nice collection.

Edit: I dont know much about this company, but it seems these knives are "rare" So its probably gonna be hard finding one for $69. Right?

it is a blade catch for fighting another knife. I don't do much of that (add chuck norris joke here) so with a little mod it's a decent bottle opener! :D and ty.

The DM is a fairly respectable cutter with a nice convexed edge. I can't think of a tougher knife for the $.

And just in case you don't know how thick the DM is:

I can't even look at that bottom pic without smiling Todd:D, just shows what a beast the DM is eh !!!

Wow pitdog, that DM really took care of that tree. Such a clean cut, and the coating hasnt even rubbed off. That thing is indestructible! ;)

I envy all you DM owners...:grumpy: lol

Cuchuga, it took me months to get an SS4, for a good deal but I kept at it and I got it, for a great deal. Look around, check the selling forums, get to know folks, and before you know it, you'll get yourself a Mutt at a good deal, lots of good folks here and around...

Yeah, I'm just gonna have to keep 200 in the bank and wait for the opportune moment. There are ALOT of great people on this forum. I love it here.

EDIT: The rules are pretty straight forward, but would like to clarify because I value my unbanned position here on BladeForums. Even though I am just a registered user, am I able to buy knives off the exchange? Thanks guys.

Anybody can buy of off the exchange. If you want to sell you need to have a Gold or Platinum membership.

In order to hijack the thread completely, you should also check-out the sales area of the makers here on BF. You will be surprised what they charge for customs. Some of the blades they sell have me drooling. I guess a lot of people buy them as queens but it doesn't have to be.

omg bodhi, you ain't kidding, great stuff over there, "Holy great makers batman!"

Man! That DM looks amazingly like my old Busse Basic 5. Even down to the grips.

This is a good thing since I think (and many others), the B5 was the best of the Basics. It is also the hardest to find. A very versatile size and shape.

The Dumster Mutt Le is a full flat grind and is a better cutter than the Combat grade version.
I used one as a steak knife last night:D
got an extra to throw in my Jeep...
