I'm with Mike on this. Number one for me.....

#1 has my vote all the way. I have a serious weak spot for recurve blades and Jason does the long, sweeping clip like nobody else. If he didn't pioneer that particular style of clip, he definitely led the charge to make them as popular as they are today. Everything about the design of #1 just screams "Knight" to me

I think recurve blades look neat, but they lack function when it comes time to slice something on a flat surface. So I normally try to avoid recurve blades. Voted #3.

I voted #1 for the recurve.

I like the recurve of #1.
The short clip and tip position of #2.
Maybe add a bit more belly. (widen the blade from the highest point of the clip to the bottom of belly to the same dimension of #3)
Definitely interested in this project.

I voted 3. When I am crushing my enemies, seeing them driven before me, and hearing the lamentations of their woman I prefer a larger belly blade. Seems like it would open up a deeper wound.

Hi Joe.

I am loving number 3 but whichever pattern gets chosen, please put my marker down for one.

Thanks for organising another one of these!

Cheers

Steven

Number 3 for the exact same reasons you gave. The edge is angled down enough to reduce hand fatigue with the added weight at the tip. It will get more work done than the other two.

Knife fights don't last long enough for anyone to get fatigued. :) But spot on observations otherwise.

I'd vote #1 as well - like recurves, and the long clip plays off the recurve perfectly

already voted in the other place, but #3 for the win! Belly and forward weight. Plus a recurve is already sitting next to me :)

I voted number 3 but purely for aesthetics. I prefer the blade shape of #3 to #1 as the latter is too familiar to me. I think though that the handle doesn't suit #3 as much. #1 looks to be the more coherent design visually.

I'm a sucker for a recurve. #1 gets my vote. Long clip is also a preference of mine.

If there was a #1A choice with the clip in between the location of #1 and #2 I would have voted for that :D

#3

Looks like the proper dimensions for a fighter, and the belly is all business. Mr. Bump's observations are dead-on.

Number two immediately caught my eye, I think, because of the seemingly straighter lines. If it had no recurve, number two would do it for me. In this case, I'd choose number three for most of the previously posted reasons. They're all great, and I'd be happy to own any of them. Mike

Interesting observation.
I went back and looked at the blade shapes.
Voted #1 and still like that better for the aforementioned reasons.
Looking at the blades again, I am of the opinion that #3 needs a recurve blade. It looks strange towards the guard to my eyes.
Maybe its just because we or rather I am so used to seeing the beautiful harpoon-style bades having recurve blades.
But what the heck do I know.
Some here, who have forgotten more about this type of knife will know better.... ;-)

Super interesting project in any case - as was the prior project.
I look forward to seeing which knife shape gets chosen and seeing the finished results and hearing reports from the happy few being chosen to own what surely will be beautiful quality knives.
