I guess being into Chris Reeve's knives as much as I've been the last 10 years, it shouldn't surprise me when I get a new Sebenza that blows me away. UPS guy just dropped of my NICA tanto Seb, and WOW!

I guess I forgot how cool the first limited run of 400 was. I saw that this new version was only 200 and had to get one. Fantastic!
Maybe I didn't pay too much attention to the original run when I had one a few years ago, but this new version seems to have a sleeker grind to it. More ergonomic if you will. The semi-hollow grind has a just a slight belly but tapers nicely to a great tanto point. Tip to pummel comes in at exactly 3 1/2", with a satin finished stoned washed blade. I might have to get a back-up, these are that nice.

You Sebenzaholics shouldn't let one of these slip past your mits. If not for the tanto style then for the collector value!

I got the BG42 version and I am really thinking about the new one. Sleeker, huh? I guess I really need to check one out.

I like the looks of the new one, but at around $500 I doubt Ill be getting one. well lets say maybe, I need to start saving my money.

I'm glad they don't make a small version or else the temptation might get the better of me.

I'd love to have one, but $500 is too much. I spent nearly that on my Classic Micarta and that's my baby now. I feel your pain.

They're only $450.00. Come on guys...:p

Yeah but Dave it is a limited edition and twice as limited as the first run of 400. I think you'll really kick yourself in the butt five years from now if you don't pick up one now. I may be wrong but I don't seem to see many of the original ones for sale. I'm not sure I'd EDC it though. I don't like to EDC a knife that can't be relatively easy to replace.  :p ;)

Scott,

That's why you need two! :D

SInce I haven't spent my knife allowance yet for Nov., I may just wait another month or so and make it a xmas present for myself.

Great excuse Dave. Man, you need to come up some more of those so I can use em on my wife.:D

Get a hold of Dan at www.Plazacutlery.com He'll do you right. New shippment just came in, and there great about layaways.

Crown,

Congrats. You say it's your favorite now. Are you comparing it to your other Sebenza's? I'd have to agree that for a larger folder, this is my EDC. A very tuff workhorse!

My EDC ;)

I was comparing it to my benchmade Pinnacle and my benchmade Skirmish. I also really like the tanto blade shape over those knives as well.

In a few minutes I'm going to Plaza Cutlery in Costa Mesa to pick up a LH NICA tanto. I'll post pics when I get back. They have a number of left hand ones available so any southpaws out there that might want to pick pick one of these up should do so while you have the chance. ;) :D

Just got back. I got this as a safe queen but after examining it, I think this knife begs for some serious pocket time. I usually don't care much for tantos but this knife might change my mind. I might have to pick up a couple more. Does the compulsion ever end?;)   :D

I also thought I should buy another after I got mine. So far I am fighting the temptation. Don't know how long I can last.

Tanto right hand style, from Plaza Cutlery, spoke to Pam (Dan was also there but was online with another client)... friendly, honest service, and I got my UPS tracking number immediately. Should be here by Thursday, I can't wait! :D
