NJ Steel Baron - Still around?

I just want to say thanks to Aldo and company for catering to the knife-makers. Although it makes good business sense to do so, there are always other ways to go with a business like his , so thankyou. I have been waiting for some time to try Aldo's W2 for a couple reasons...the hamons are outrageous!!! and 2 my supply of W2 rounds is dwindling, not to mention the beating it gives me without a power hammer.

Unfortunately, while waiting for this batch to come in and to be chemically what he wanted my finances dipped downward temperately. My question to Aldo is, If this batch of W2 flats runs out ( as it looks like it may from the jubilation throughout the community..")) are you already looking towards the next "Billets" to come in close behind? Again, thank you for your services, it must be cool to think of all the HT ovens that get opened with the anticipation of a 10 year old on Christmas morning. and it is all your fault...lol

In my experience, not too long. I placed a small, 4 bar order of 52100 this past Tuesday (10th). I expect I'll have my order by next Tuesday at the latest. I'm in Tennessee and it usually arrives in 4-5 business days. Considering you're in Arizona, it may take another business day or two.

Aldo, if you happen to read this, when do you expect CPM S35VN and CPM 3V to be back in stock? I wish I could have added it to this last order to save on shipping cost. Sent you an email about it, but never received a reply.

I've tried to call but with the time difference it's tough for me to get them during business hours. I'm sure I'm just being impatient, the only steel I have to work with needs to be forged and it's already 105 degrees here so that's OUT until at least October....lol

I may be mistaken, but I think Aldo was referring to the NEXT batch of W2 from Germany, in his post above. He was answering Shag's question, "are you already looking towards the next "Billets" to come in close behind?".

We are still trying to get all the orders out from when the W2 and 1084 came in and we had the Blade Show last week. We are about a week behind and I do apologize. As for the W2 it is usually about 20 weeks before the batch shows up from the order date. It is a special order item and is poured according to our spec. We are putting in for 2 heats this time around and will stagger the delivery dates about 2 months. It's kind of hard to tell how fast a load is going to get sold 5 months before you get it. This time around we dumped most of the 1/4" W2 in 5 weeks. We only have a few plates left. I would love to have another 3 thousand pounds on the shelf.....more for my sake then yours. :)

Thank you for all the responses, as I suspected I am just being impatient....lol files are getting old :( I want my sheet of 1095 :) so I can make something bigger than a neck knife...lol

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm hoping ill get my order on Monday or Tuesday. I ordered a bar of 1084 on the 3rd and have not yet received it yet. Is this typical? No big deal either way just getting anxious to get to filing. Lol

Aldo, sorry to jump in the dogpile here (don't know how to reach you directly), but what's up with the CPM steels? Haven't seen anything in stock on the site in a while, and the couple times I've called and spoke with employees there I haven't ended up with much info, either.
