So I finaly decided to use my NMFBM... I'm pretty happy I finaly tried it out. This thing is the best chopper out there by a long shot, plus it's not too heavy to carry around.
I have used my FFBM for a while as well as a Trailmaster and a BK-9 and all I can say is that the NMFBM rules them all.
I chopped down a 6 inch wide tree in a few easy chops... unbelievable.

I'm so happy I bought one while they were at the Busse store... Remember always buy from te store, you might regret it later :D

:)

Yep the NMFBM is the definitely the one.

IMO is the best all in one blade Busse made. :D

Man, I am in the same boat! I have always just looked at my NMFBM and thought..."one day"...but I decided to use it of late, and I'm super glad I did. Please post some pics of usage!!!

I feel so good about getting one, I was on the fence when it was on the Busse Website and when they were about to pull the plug, I placed my Order. I know now it was one of the best decisions I have made as far as buying a knife goes.

The only problem with the NMFBM LE is the price... I would never have dared to use it at the price it was selling for :D

Just got one, thanks to "Dan The Man!" love it - Teach me how to sharpen this thing!

It is a pleasure to work with .... quick and comfortable ....:cool:

Of all the Busses I've bought and sold, the NMFBM LE will never go any where. First of all it was way too hard to obtain, but it is definitely the most formidable knife I own. And of all the jobs that all the knives I own are capable of doing, the NMFBM does its job the best.

I agree, I love mine. I wished I had an LE but I can't see any performance or love lost in the standard model. Wood explodes when I chop with it.

I use a Kalamazoo 1SM belt grinder for mine. Nice and slow moving. 220 grit, 600 grit, then leather with diamond spray. Takes 5 minutes from butterknife dull to hair splitting sharp. Best kinife sharpening investment I ever made. Cost me about the same as a Edge Pro Apex and does 100 times the work 200 times faster.

The NMFBM is the single best knife Busse Combat has released IMO. It's also the only knife I truly regret selling, which is why i'm trying to buy a new one.

It's NOT the best chopper IMO though, the Killa Zilla beats it out, but the zilla is a one trick pony, and it doesn't beat the NMFBM by THAT much which is why I got rid of the zilla and am hunting for the NMFBM again.

That's one blade I'll never sell again, it's perfect.

I do like the NMFBM. If i'm fresh and feeling like having some fun while out using my knives then this is my go to blade.

I concur with the comparison to the KZ. While I never handled a KZ I do have a khukri and it just isn't as versatile for me as the NMFBM.

The best knife i,ve ever had...the most fun to use, the most capable, resourceful woodland tool i,ll ever own.

Glad you like it RR - I have to admit I've had a few second thoughts about selling it to you. If you ever decide to part with it, give me a buzz as I may be in the market again!
