NMFSH!!! What colour combo are u going for?

Tanker Gray / Black Canvas but I'd go for CF / Black Canvas if that's an option.

Still trying to decide but something along the lines of Black or green coating and black canvas or paper.

I really wanted the blue/black G10 or black G10 as others have said. I'm putting it as a request in the email hoping they change their minds. Maybe if enough people request the blue/black, they will listen.

Hey gang. I was wondering how long the Black Paper handles hold up. They look really nice on the satin and coated blades, I like to call it the "Dexter" look after his newest knife on the show had the black paper handles.
I have seen the Busse knife torture test on youtube and the tester gave the G10 handles a good work over in the video, enough to make the Pins bend before the handles broke.
How well does a Black Paper user hold up around the pins, would the pin bend or handle material break first?
Black paper has worked its way down to my 2nd/3rd choice pick if I happen to score a Ganza, I really like the all black and it might end up being a 'safe queen' that brings up my next Black Paper question.
How long of a life time does Black Paper have? We or most of us has seen Pawnstars where they always explain how the Papers showing age, I would think the Paper inside the Micarta mix could become brittle over hmm 20+ years?
I like Black Paper. I prefer Linen and Canvas as users, but Paper works well too. I usually buy it for my safe queens, but only because it looks nice. My user TG has Black Paper, and it has held up just fine. I also have a few knives from other makers that use black paper.

I have not had any issues whatsoever with the pins or handle material breaking on any of my users. Micarta is a VERY strong material, which is why it is used as a handle material. It is a mixture of a laminate, in this case phenolic resin, and another material like canvas, paper, linen, fiberglass, et.al. While Paper may not be as quite as "tough" as Canvas, it is a perfectly good choice for a hard-use knife. I don't think Busse would be using it if it wasn't

To give you an idea of the strength of Micarta, here is an excerpt from Wiki:
The largest use for Micarta industrial laminates is a high strength electrical insulation in power generating and distribution equipment. Laminates are also used in heavy equipment, aerospace, automotive, office equipment, tabletops, countertops, electronic, electrical insulation between pressure vessels or piping and their supports, decorative applications, including knife handles and gun handles, guitar fingerboards and bridges, pool cues, and safety gear such as hard hats. Between 1935-1945, Westinghouse's Power-Aire desk fans used blades made of Micarta.

While Micarta handles have chipped, I have NEVER seen a handle made from any type of Micarta completely fail.

One of each.... oops.... then I wake up... :D You can be sure I am after something with Black and Tan G10.... ;)

I'm thinking Tan Micarta on Jungle Green.

But that will change ten times in the next day.
