NMFSH!!! What colour combo are u going for?

Lexi just said Competition Finish won't be available. I'm thinking either Black/Tan w/arctic white, or Black/yellow w/tanker grey. Both look great.

Echoing what SavageSmurf said above; No competition finish option available on this one. :( I may sit this one out now. :o

Competition finish has pretty much never been an option ... so no point hoping for that.

Double cut is a MUCH nicer version of comp finish .. and will have less potential for rust!

There have been a few ganzaa knives with that finish in the past.. but it's more of a special occurance

Not sure I'd say that. Many have said Double-Cut is the worst for rust potential. Plus, when CF is available, it is a no-charge option (where DC is $80 here).

My bet is that since the CF on this would look SO similar to the LE, they don't want those who bought LE's to get upset. Think about it; The blade is full-height flat ground, so it would look almost satin-finished, and the NM treatment would have the edges finished too (just maybe not polished). So the only place where the blade would show unfinished steel would be that little bit at the ricasso and under the handle slabs (who cares?). I might just strip the coating if I decide to join in.

That's true .. I've never owned a comp finish, but have had DC rust on me :( ... that NMFSH DC looks so hot .. but I do worry about long term storage .. I guess if you keep it oiled it should be ok - I don't use any of them, just collect :D

Here a FBM in the requested "StormTrooper" color combo of white/black.

Keep in mind that Black/Tan G-10 ends up looking pretty gray, not quite the "black and white stripes" one might imagine. I got a Black/Tan G-10 Tank Buster and IMO it would probably match the Tanker Gray coating a lot better, thus the hard contrast of Black Paper Micarta and Arctic White might be better overall. Also note, Arctic White isn't a fresh snow or photopaper kind of white, it's a tiny bit creamy.
(Note that the colors in the pic aren't perfect, but it's a good general reference.)

I love going to the paint store for white.

There are like eighteen different shades of white paint.

Arctic White and Desert Sandstorm looks sweet to me.

I really like the white with black paper and knowing that it is now the unofficial Storm Trooper version just makes it that much cooler. Now I just have to find light saber green coating. That would be sweet.

I'm torn between black blade with black canvas vs. black blade and black paper vs. jungle green blade and paper black (my favorite so far) or just spending the extra money and getting black with G10 black/yellow.
What do you guys think? which of these would you go for or do you have a better combo in mind? Pics to make your case would be nice. :D

Guys, quick question:
Is the Jungle Green finish smoother than the black blade finish?
Any chance anyone has a big Busse with Jungle Green/black paper or jungel green /black canvas?
Thanks.

Jungle green is VERY smooth, most definitely smoother than the black.

Here it is 30 minutes before this thing gets going, and I still can't decide if I should get in for a NMFSH. :o

I would love to, but I only have ~90 days of "guaranteed" employment left, so...

ETA: Then again, the world ends Friday, so it probably wouldn't matter anyway.

Hmm, Blue/Black with Tanker Gray... Or do I have it in me to go for a second one in DCBB.

Think this one will live in the Jeep though, so coated would be good. Is the Tanker Gray a lot smoother than the Black coating?

I was flip flopping all day .. but I decided to go crazy?!

1x (2) DoubleCut NMFSH / black canvas
1x (2) DoubleCut NMFSH / blue-black G10
1x (1) Arctic WHITE blade / red-black G10
