The NMFSHLE arrived yesteday..#303 for what it's worth. A beautiful piece of craftsmanship and INFI! Well done edge by BEEF! Feels absolutely perfect to me in the hand; nice texture to the grips with a perfect balance between smooth and rough.

Do it all? I haven't gotten mine yet (tracking email yesterday!), but it seems *slightly* short to be a great chopper and maybe a little big for small jobs. Excellent camp knife is what I'm thinking.

Its heavy enough to chop very well. But I've used smaller knives for years so maybe I'm used to them. It's a bit big for small work but you could use the chest grip for fine work I would think.

I always felt my fbmle was way too big.

I want one too!!!
One of these and the old HOGFSH LE, these two are one of the best and for me most collectable knives Busse ever built!!

I congrat you to this very nice blade

regards
Denis

Excellent pics! It does seem perfect in many ways. I like my CGFBM for flat out chopping, but I bet this will make a perfect camp knife. Mine was sharpened by BEEF as well and will go through the paces of carving another turkey later today. Amazingly, the NMFSHLE feels more central in balance. This beast just screams "Split Wood" though.

Is this the perfect do-it-all Blade? I don't think so myself, but it will make for a great chopper, wood spiltter, etc..., and is one of the best looking knives ever made.
IMO the SFNO is the perfect do it all blade.

One thing I didn't like about the NM models were the looks of the very large talon, and pommel holes. I'm glad to see they went back to the small ones.
Really, really great looking knife, and thanks for the pics.

Looks sweet Brother! I received a shipping notice yesterday as well...WOO-HOO!!!:D:thumbup:

Beautiful blade and that's a great looking set of Nuclear Meltdowns you've got there.

Lora, that's a great avatar you've got there, but I still miss your wonderful smile!:D:thumbup:

I was expecting this one to have the larger holes with the full meltdown treatment like the NMFBM and NMSFNO, but the more I look at it the more I like it the way it is. It's awesome in every regard! Well done Busse.

That NMFSHLE is a beauty -- great balance. Nice comparison pics too, thanks -- right between the FBM and NMSFNO in size.

Beautiful knife. Congratulations, dude. Only one thing missing -is there an orange lanyard in that bad boy's future or what? :D

I hadn't noticed the difference in talon holes before. Aesthetically: I kinda like the bigger holes better, makes the areas look a bit more polished Functionally: as long as I can fit 550 through it

Great pics btw, the bright orange on satin is growing on me and I do love me some comparison pics.

I think the smaller holes are more practical, the lanyard is all over the place in the large ones but to each his own.
