NMFSHLE - is this the perfect do-it-all blade? (pic heavy)

The 10LE is spec'd at 10", the NMFSHLE at 9.5", but they look about the same to me.
That thing is a beast, it's almost an FBMLE.
I am so glad I got in on this one, as well as the 1311, great offerings this season.

Does anyone know how many NMFSHLE's were made? Has everyone got theirs in the mail yet?

The size is just right, its big but she can still move!

The fmble felt too long but this thing is just right, its hard to explain without holding one.

Jerry needs to offer a cg version.

I'm glad to read that most everyone who has received their NMFSHLE is liking it. It's a fatty, will be my thickest slice of INFI and with its FFG I'm thinking it's going to be a beast.

Well folks, #1 and #2 are in the house -- lucky piglet indeed! No regrets on bribing the Janitor with lots of bourbon to get ahead of all you worthy HOGS ;-) ;-) (please note that the double emoticon means that the previous sentence is entirely untrue)

Beautiful work from the Busse crew -- fit and finish is perfect and Beef made it sharp.

My next biggest Busse is the NMSFNOLE (an all time favorite) and there's no comparison in size and weight -- the NMFSHLE is much beefier and heavier, with a thicker blade and handle. The fusion handle is my favorite Busse handle but this one has a different feel than that of a CG ASH-1, for example. The difference is in the length of the handle and where the palm swells hit your hand -- the ASH-1 handle is shorter overall. If your hands are large, the NMFSHLE will feel great and and there's enough room on the handle, even with the downturn at the end, to accommodate even the largest mitt. Sad to say, I've never tried an FBM or NMFBM but something tells me the NMFSHLE will hold its own as a chopper.

Don't know what my numbers will be, but Naomi sent an email and I should see them tomorrow. I always have to wait a day for signature. They are out for delivery right now, but will go back to the Post Office to wait for my signature. So now Naomi is my BFF for the email ;). Now I need an NMFBM. Then we need a 6" & 4" NMxxx.

If I could take over the shop for a day (or as long as it takes to make an NMFSNO) I would have a matching set of NMFBM, NMFSHLE, NMSFNO4", NMSFNO6", NMSFNO & NMSFNO10". All custom shop satin/tigerhide. Jerry how do we make that happen???

I think the Meltdown really takes blades to the next level...having handled both Meltdown and Non-meltdown blades side but side, I can tell you my preference is definitely for the more user/carry friendly version if you intend to do more than store and fondle them...particularly the NMSFNO. The NMFSHLE is definitely an awesome blade, but I also do admit, I wish there would have been an 8" option...~10 inches is Battle Mistress territory...can we dare to dream for a CG version in either blade length???

That being said, if I had more fun $$, I definitely would have snagged a couple three of these, the look like good stuff. Would be a great camp knife...

So I keep fondling this thing every day and am still blown away by how much I love it. The thickness is awesome....anyone who missed out needs to set their sights on this beast. Great job Busse crew!

That's what I do every evening, sit down with a tall glass of JWBlack and fondle my beloved Busse NMFSHLE. I can't wait for the CG version to take to the woods for a real beater, right now I can't bring myself to use this one.

Its a nice blade! If you ask me though, I would say your orange handle NMSFNO is the cream of the crop perfection knife!

If I could get the NMFSHLE with the orange then that would be the the best for me. I like the extra thickness from the SFNO.

Just got mine in yesterday #110, the thing is beautiful!!! I love the the FSH blade series... the blade shape is my absolute favorite Busse. a close runner up is of course the iconic Battle Mistress... CGFBM specifically... I think the the perfect blade for me would be A CGNMFSH with another inch on the the blade at .28 thick... in fact when I get some money saved I may see what the CUSTOM SHOP Can do for me:D:D....

I did not want paper on my handles of such a sweet creation, but that didn't keep me from getting one. It's now one of my favorites. I haven't used it yet (aside from sharpness check), but the feel, weight, balance, FFG, Satin...so much to like.

I fear no 12-21-12.

My NMFSHLE # 53 Arrived in the mail today and i am a happy happy happy man.. :D:D I tried chopping some logs in the woodshed and i was blown away by how well this beauty chops :D i cant wait to take it to the woods for some serious work

How come the holes in the choil and butt aren't rounded on the inside like the NMSFNO and the NMFBM?
