No Chips with this "Salsa" :-)

Jay_Ev....your a good person to ask this since you have so many of them - check my "slight beef" post up above and let me know if you experience this at all, thanks!
 
The cobra hood was much anticipated when it was seen in pictures and discussed on the forums.

Once felt a lot of folks rejected it for a few niggling reasons.

It made the blade look "funny" or different.

It can catch on a pants pocket or object and cause an unwanted opening of the blade...kind of a "incidental wave" option.

On the plus side, it does help to open in general and with gloves, but the old generic hole works for most folks most of the time so the elu decided it was unnnecessary. The ramp also gives a large area to assist the thumb when cutting.

Another dislike voiced by many was the "cartoony" Salsa on the handle as it disagreed with their delecate sensibilities. That was a pity as I find it charming and whimsical, adds a bit of grip on the frame. Is a bit different and doesn't harm function in any way.

wavester you might consider the youtube video was an old knife perhaps and yours is supposed to have a click?
