No Christmas Knife for My Guy

Thats a cool idea Judy. By the way, we didn't cast you aside. And yes, we knife knuts have OFTEN been faced with the dilemma of having to choose between 2 or 3 or 4 or more knives at a time. BUT usually we just buy them ALL!!! HA! Solves the dilemma!

It sounds like you have found a blade that you like, with a kandle you and your hunka hunka burnin' love will like AND it has that sentimental etching you like too. The forst blade I carried around was something like 2" long. NOW the smallest is 3.75". It is O.K. to start small! Heck, maube next x-mas your man will like knives SOOOOOO much you'll be buying a Sifu!

Women!
What you call casting you aside, I call motivating you to make a decision, and it looks like it worked. Go with the 330, it's a nice little knife. You're boyfriend will be thrilled, you'll be happy you didn't wait, and most important of all us knifeknuts will get some satisfaction and some closure.

No, we just bought them both or all. You will too, just give it some time.

Of the knives you're thinking of, I'd go with the 940. I carry one daily, it's really small for its size and doesn't freak out the people in my office, which is in a liberal university. The 330 KOTM is nice too, and the date on it is a nice touch. But the Axis lock on the 940 also has a cool gadget factor, which your man and at least the men he works with will appreciate.

Check your phone book or internet yellow pages for a knife or gun store in your area. There might be one you didn't know about. Getting the knives in your hand will make a decision much easier to make, and you will feel better about the decision, rather than sweating while it's in the mail.

Judy, Judy, Judy, you have been ignoring my posts.

Not EVERYONE is trying to pressure you. Don't listen to these nattering nabobs of negativity. Just chant this over and over again: "I will buy no knife before its time." This will keep the impulse buying demons at bay.

BTW, nice truck!

I get some pleasure from finding a relentlessly peaceful use for a combative looking knife.

Judy, if you had read my impressions posting on the 940, you would see that I describe it as a perfect gentleman's pocketknife. It is not at all too large and its svelte shape and design make it a perfect knife for a suit or a sportcoat and slacks combination. I have also worn mine with my school blazer and grey flannels and "old school tie", what is really a rather formal combination. It weighs very little and it rides low in the pocket so that it is not very noticeable. The only problem that I have with it is that I work in a city, Washington, DC, where the blade limit is 3" and the 940 has a 3 3/8" blade. I still carry it to work on occassion, but I am nervous about it. What I am trying to tell you is that the 940 is just about the most civilized production knife out there, one that will fit well with any kind of outfit. And it fits my hand comfortably in the bargain, something not all knives do, the BM 730 Ares, for instance.

Judy,

I think the boys are right. Go with the BM940 and you will never regret it. Given the choice I would always go with comfort over looks but why choose when you could have both?

BTW, I bought my red '99 Dakota two years ago and I LOVE it!

Hi Judy-
buy your man any knife that seems good enough for the work on Valentines Day.
Then on Valentines Day turn some rope around YOU and let him cut it off! He will be happy bout EVERY sharp thing.

Hi Judy,
First off, you're welcome.

Second, I want you to do what you are comfortable with, but it does now sound like you're narrowing down the field a little.
Maybe a BM would be a good idea. Just decide on what size you think he would like.
Both a close but if you think that he may not appreciate the larger 940, then go for it and get the 330. And if you can get the blue handle, why not.
The only problem will be getting it by Xmas time.

Well, it's back to the crunch for you.

Keep us all informed.

Good luck to you again!!!!

P.S. - Don't worry about the guys, they just really love knives and they want the whole world to be able to share in their pleasure.
