No "for sale in for sale forum" posts

Have you seen the threads: "Please Ignore" in discussion forum and "Irrelevant Post" in the Balisong forums? Lot of wasted bandwidth there.

Maybe I'm missing it, but nowhere in the original header announcement, nor in any of the follow on discussion - to include Spark's replies - are there any reasons nor prohibitions given to lock down a thread referencing a custom Emerson for sale elsewhere. A popular Usual Suspect recently got a great deal on a very rare CQC6 because someone gave a heads up HERE about its popping up on a dealer's site. What's wrong with that? It serves the community, fulfilling the basic purpose of the forum, without unnecessarily taking up space, etc. Its especially puzzling when the dealer in question is an advertiser here, too(eg, a supporter of BF). If the only issue is cross posting within BF then its no big deal. If its broader than that, then we have not yet gotten either clear guidance nor an explanation.
 
Looks like the issue is bandwidth. Seems like an effort to incentivize sellers of Emersons posting them on other sites than BF as that is the only venue not yet prohibiting the heads up. One of the beauties of this place is that it has served as a venue where Emerson afficianados could trade and discuss rare product. These new edicts sure take a lot of the fun out of it. Hey, its his bat and ball. Bummer though.
 
Guys, if you want to nitpick the hell out of this, be my guest... just don't expect me to argue anymore. I've been pretty clear - this forum is for the discussion of Emerson knives, not the selling of them.

Please don't test my patience by attempting to find every single possible exception to these pretty basic rules. I don't have the time to waste on something this unproductive, only to turn around and do it in another forum as well. I'm not big on edicts, and referendums, and points of order, and such. That's something for the debate club, I don't have the patience.

You guys want to point something out somewhere, be my guest. Just don't make a habit of it, and don't do it to the point that it overwhelms the discussions. If that does happen, don't be suprised when either I or the moderators take action. This isn't the "Hey, there's an Emerson For Sale somewhere" forum, after all.

I've already said that if you want a special "Usual Suspects" forum, or "Usual Suspects Swap Meet" or something, I'll be happy to make it for you, I just don't think it will get enough traffic to justify it. I'm willing to work with you, but you need to be willing to work with me as well. I'm not unreasonable, so try at least to work with me.
