No love for the Endela?

Spyderco’s K390 is a favorite of mine. I ordered a few of the upcoming Endura special K for friends and myself. Nice color FRN lots to love.

Hi Yo Mama,

I can see where you might think that. Though we really think about stuff like that when we decide to make an "in-between" model. In this case, many laws have changed about blade length and social perception has also changed. For years, a 4.0" blade was normal and common. Not so any more.

This is Sal Glesser as in the Sal Glesser of Spyderco??? He posts on the BF????

I'm blushing..

That is so wrong he has to start a reply with;

"Hi Yo Mama"

Is this even real life or am I in a Covid 19 fever induced delerium?

Hi Houlahound.

I've been posting on Bladeforums for more than 20 years. I also watch out site forum. I think it's important to keep in touch with our customers and forums seem to be an effecive way.

Also "Yo Mama" is their screen name.

While it maybe unusual my screen name actually comes from me and my best friend throwing yo mama jokes around at each other for many many years. Keep in mind we do know each other's mothers and they are very nice people.
Sal your commitment to this forum is unparalleled. It truly helps form a connection.

I have been carrying my SE Endela the last 2 weeks. This maybe my favorite knife. Perhaps tied with the Stretch HAP40. The SE on the Endela just gets better with use and sharpening.

It always seemed like it would compete with the Stretch. I know there’s legal reasons some places for 3.5” knives (and sub 3”) but the blade shape from the Endela to the Stretch just seems so similar.

My favorite Spyderco is the serrated-edge Endela set up left handed. I carry it more than any other knife.

I would buy one if it had something other than a VG-10 blade. Getting to be old hat on the Enduras and Delicas too. VG-10 is OK, it just gets too dull too fast for me.

Got a waved endela coming. I’m glad that Spyderco produced the endela. 8” is the sweet spot for me. Delica is too small and Endura is too long that it never felt right.

exactly how I feel. My sister lives in the next town over from Golden. She is stopping by next week to get my wave Endela curbside. I have a gift certificate.

I’m really hoping for an lc200n salt model. I’d probably buy the salt 2 size but the Endela is the size I really want.

The Spydie Chef is another contender but that’s above my price range for water carry where it’s more likely to be lost.

I like the size and overall design of the Endella. If the front choil bump thing the front of your index finger was more like the Delica shape instead of the Endura shape, if already have several.
