Buck 121 Fisherman "tip down" variation (ca. 1972 I believe). I like the long, thin blade style 121 for cleaning wild turkey (great for breasting the meat). OH

My Buck 121 "three spacer" is a good, general purpose outdoor knife (sort of a longer 105 Pathfinder) - it has a much thicker blade than the four spacer variations (it could be a "Guide" - I never had a box with it). I use this one for surf & pier fishing, cutting bait, etc., it stays in my saltwater tackle box. It works on turkey too, but not as much flex when breasting. OH

I only like the 70's model 121 which has the thinner blade, higher flats and softer transition to the upper blade. Here's one I procured at a Gun Show. It has the 4 micarta spacers and 5.5" 440C blade in good shape. DM

Hunter, those are some nice photos of your 121 at work. This model is close to the 5.75" Empress Trio model. Which has a micarta handle and a slightly different shape. I could live with either to quarter or bone out a bull elk. DM
