No Membership Required---Let's See Your 121's

Nothing special? A 121 with a scaler is a Grail piece to me. I have 4 user thin 121's. And the sambar one released recently.

I guess I have stopped looking for the scaler model and the 121 was not offered with a barrel nut... Still, if I find a one liner, 2 liner or inverted 3 liner, I'd talk seriously to the owner about it. DM

The Fisherman is A step child in my collection. In sake of completeness I need a two liner and a barrel nut. I know they are out there

Thank you. No complaints from me. The stag does fill my hand nicely. To be clear, I meant the blades are all thin except for the blade on the stag. The one next to stag is an x date code like new. It and the stag are in my collection. The others are users for myself and my kids. These are really great kinves for slicing.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about the handles...What's the significance of the date code "x"? The top one in that same pic seems to have a different type of spacers?

No need to apologize. I wasn't clear in my post. No significant to the x (1990)code just that it has a code. The others are all from before they had a code.(72-86). Not sure about the spacers. They all look the same to me.

I believe you need to start a post in order to get DeSoto's attention and ask him. The one looks like it red micarta from the pics?

All mine are like the one with the rivet. I think I the no rivet no model number is the oldest.
Does anyone know what sheath would be "correct" for a one liner? I'm thinking the left with no model number.

I thought someone was a 'expert' on these, maybe DeSoto or Gedlicks. The sheaths may cross over changes in the knife stamping, blade thickness, number and type of spacers, grind of the butt. It will follow the examples of others such as 124 and 119s on sheath aging. And in fact may follow 110 sheaths. Sheaths were contracted and not changed with each knife production difference change. You may have a sheath that goes with two different looking 121's that is the same.
I know that besides the tang stamps the spacers tell a story also. I do not know if leather spacers were ever used. I have always thought the models with micarta on back of the hilt were a early version but I may be wrong. There may be an article on these in the BCCI newsletter in the past, maybe start with 89 and go forward......300
