Not free if you use your credit or debit card I'm afraid. I doubt Google would eat the potential fees out of the kindness of their hearts. They are a business after all, and they also need to make money. In addition, Google is also located in California (same as Paypal) so the same restrictions may apply at some point. It’s free to send money from your Google Wallet Balance or directly from your bank account. You can also pay with your credit and debit cards for a low fee of 2.9% per transaction (minimum $0.30). Receiving money is always free.
ASSumption: Google checkout fees will be less than PP?
For every heartbreak about PP there are thousands of solid trouble-free transactions. I have no problem with the service or the fees.
Cost of doing good business: Saving time, secure transactions, client ease. Sounds like Google wants a piece of this action. I don't blame them.
Thanks for the tip. +1
Since credit card companies can handle dispute resolution on transactions you made using their card, it would be a moot point as to whether or not Google Wallet handles disputes.
