I don't have a dog in this fight, but man. It sounds like he is going for some negative publicity. Now that I have heard of his knives I will make sure not to buy them. First impressions are everything.

I also got a virus warning when I went to Lakonian knives website. Another bad impression.

Also trying to imagine my hand holding that knife of his and how long the rehab would be for my hand. Ouch.

Let it ride 710. I would say your in good shape on this one.

Tim is right... I won't post it but I'M pretty heated about the whole thing... my 2nd design and some guy gets all butt hurt... well if anybody wants to read the whole convo just pm me but please don't pass it around.
 
I was told awhile back that there are very few new ideas in Knife making, all designs have some aspects of it borrowed from another design which in turn got that from another and so on. Anyway, it looks like his final version has turned into some curvy handled karambit looking thing and if those 2 were placed side by side I wouldn't call out either maker as copying the other.

Anybody who knows you knows you're a classy guy. It's not like you're gonna go out of your way to copy someone elses design. That's just laughable...
You have some of the most original designs out there. Your uniqueness is part of what sets you apart. You're a good dude with good products and you've done a great job of getting your name out there and you have a solid reputation.
Don't worry about (what's his name again...).
It's got to be a bit frustrating though...

Here on the forums? I kept getting this weird Chinese Ipad thing pop up and also some ads that didn't really seem like something blade forums would advertise but its gone now...
 
ok so dude is from canada... I've never heard of the fellow... took me awhile to even find his website

There is an add below the top post and one at the bottom of the page.
Does anybody know what the deal is?...
 
Ask him if the Canadian Mounties enforce design trademarks in the U.S. :p

Frankly, the two designs look pretty different.

Dunno, it's only an issue for me when I am on my phone, I have AdBlockPlus on my computers.

Maybe he is doing this to get additional recognition. Cause he has a couple dozen folks looking at his page now.
