Well im just waiting on the wife to get off work, got about another hour. Then we are dropping the kids off to spend the night at their grandparents house.

And then we are going to get drunk and do things that are inappropriate to discuss here LMAO

maybe drink until it is February...? I got nothing here...

Probably the best advice I could received in this situation. My HF just got home and isn't feeling well, so we get to skip the party!! I'm going to load up and go fishing now. I just have to wait for a friend to get off of work.

Also. Im starting to like UPS more than USPS. Im still waiting on a USPS package that was shipped on xmas eve. It left Chicago on Jan 2nd and then went to Canada for some strange reason. Now the expected delivery date just changed and says expected delivery on 2/02.. Sunday?? Yea right HAHA

I signed up for an account with UPS a week ago or so and they sent me an email this morning letting me know a package was going to be delivered to me today. So i tracked the package and it even tells me about what time the package will be delivered, who it came from, the exact address its going to and everything. I can request them to leave the package and tell them where to leave it too, If i could get more people to ship using UPS id pay the 40 a year for a membership account and then i could even pick a 2 hour delivery window.

HF? Home fry? LOL

Enjoying fishing bud!!

I have to go to a Xmas party for my girlfriends work. I should just start getting drunk now!!

Being the slobbery drunk significant other at a work xmas party is an honor. No matter how many disappointed looks you might get, hammer another one with pride. We are all rooting for you... God speed soldier.... :D

Id much rather go fishing than go to an employee, work related, party. Any day. Easy choice!!

The bad part would be id almost be happy the GF came home feeling sick. I just wouldnt tell her that... but in my case my wife would be able to tell because id be loading up the fishing gear singing and dancing LMAO

UPS has caused some issues for me. They love to not ring the doorbell, and just leave a notice. They don't even ATTEMPT to deliver the package. I've had them "lose" my package a couple times, break it several more, and steal from me once. They actually literally opened the box, removed the contents, and resealed it. I got reimbursed for that, but it took a couple months. I generally ship USPS Priority insured for that reason. FedEX decided they could open my packages and inspect the contents. They lost my business forever for that violation of privacy.

Yea if someone opened up one of my packages id be pissed. I dont deal with UPS much but i like the tracking function WAY more.

Huh, funny. I've never gotten any of that information on my UPS ground packages. I don't think that's standard. No address, and it just says "Out for delivery" and delivery "by end of day" which effectively means anywhere from 11 AM to 8 PM in my area.

A lot of folks dont know this but USPS handles and delivers a lot of packages and mail for Fedex and UPS. Whether it be just moving the package or getting it to its final destination. It is not always the case but it does occur. Both of my parents are USPS Carriers and the post office will have a pallet or so of UPS and Fedex packages to handle. Kinda funny if you ask me. BUT in your case, yes UPS has done a very good job with their tracking system as opposed to USPS... However, USPS's tracking format probably took 15 years of congressional arguments, lobbying, hearings, and executive orders just to decide what color the background should be... LOL There is not a bigger bureaucracy than USPS... This is why most postal workers are borderline crazy... you would be too if you had to deal with what they do HAHA! :D

yea i never got any of that info either before i signed up for an account. But now it shows the name its addressed to, address and everything. it use to say delivery by end of day.. but now it says 1:15-4:15PM delivery. This package is a regular ground shipment too, and the account is free to sign up for. But you get more options if you pay the yearly fee. Like picking you own 2 hour delivery window.

This applies to UPS too... they have missed friday delivery and left the package in front of the door on saturday (business is closed), I got a box with a 8 inch hole in it and nothing inside and they had put a couple pieces of tape over the hole.. nothing said about the $8000 worth of PCB's missing from the box.. they have delivered to the wrong place many times.. Fexex and UPS used to be the "gold standard" they are pretty lazy these days.. all that being said they are light years ahead of USPS in my opinion...

I've had good luck and bad luck with all three. I sometimes think they have some sort of a roster/rotation and take turns torqueing me off... UPS seems to be in the lead for damaged items though. I got one box once (left on my porch with no signature) that had a shotgun barrel sticking out the side. It had punched through both the manufacturer's box and the shipping box. Pretty talented package handling to generate that much force.

Life just gets better as you get older doesn’t it?
I was in a Starbucks Coffee recently when my stomach started rumbling and I realized that I desperately needed to fart.

The place was packed but the music was really loud so to get relief and reduce embarrassment I timed my farts to the beat of the music.

After a couple of songs I started to feel much better.

I finished my coffee and noticed that everyone was staring at me.
I suddenly remembered that I was listening to the music on my I-pod.

This is what happens when old people start using technology.
