He didn't get an infraction "out of the blue". No one did. I will personally vouch for Karda in that regard.

He got at least three friendly messages, counting the email he was sent and the threads in ST, just like everyone else in his position. He chose to go bat-poop loony over it... only then did he get a red ticket for being a jackass, and somewhere in that mess of his own making, he openly begged to be banned.... a supermod who has been here a very, very long time obliged his request.

No loss for us if he wants to make a fool of himself over nothing. If he hasn't posted in 4 years or more... even more of a non-loss :)

I read through the thread, seems to me he dug his own grave, jumped in it and then managed to bury himself in it. Don't like the rules? Don't sign up. And he could have just logged out and never returned, but obviously that was never an option in his mind.

My girlfriend gave me Reese's cups in a pill organizer for my birthday. She seems to think I'm old or something. :D
 
Yesterday on the way home from the PO, I stopped at a c-store and got my wife a newspaper and a Slushie... on a whim I picked up two little snack-size Reese's. At $0.15/each, I couldn't resist :D They are chilling on the front windowsill as we speak...

Oh yeah, worldwood, watch your mailbox in a few days. The 1095 sample is bare, the Elmax sample still has mill scale on it. They're both annealed. That should give you a reasonable idea of what it's like to file/cut both main types of cutlery steel (low alloy "carbon" and high-alloy "stainless") with hand tools.
 
Watching National Geographic and there was a show called "The Legend of Mick Dodge." Its about some bearded and barefoot feller that lives out in the Hoh Rainforest. Was kind of an interesting show. Might appeal to some of you minimalist kind of guys. AND to answer the whole what kind of knife he was using, it appeared to be some sort of knife along the lines of the Silver Stag Skinner or something like that. :D

My bad man :) That sucks though. Resse's are AWESOME.

I ship knives to Australia, and when Twinkies came back out i shipped a couple boxes of them with some knives for the guys to try out. If i wasnt worried about them melting and making a mess on a thousand dollars worth of knives id put some Reese's in the next box.

You got it, I know some people like that :) I cant ever understand how they keep all their money with so few knives. My wife says its because they dont buy knives with all their extra money, that doesnt even make sense to me. I thought the purpose of extra money was knives. If its not for a knife its for something directly related to using/storing/cleaning/modding knives.

Now that's a problem I feel qualified to address ;) If I can't fix it, Ka-Bar/Becker or Daizee or Toodles can, for certain.
 
Mornin all.........Suppossed to hit in the high 20's here today... heat wave.... I gaurantee there will be a few idiots that drive there motorcycles into work today.
