Yeah, it's pretty fun. I do a Missoula Childrens Theatre (look em up, it's a cool operation) play every year when they come to town, and I've done one before with this group but It was just singing (I got to sing Mississippi Squirrel Revival though :D). Usually I do a bit of the back stage work when I'm not on stage, seems they always holler for me when they want something lifted. :grumpy: :D And yes, lot's of the actors (including one or two in this play..) are really, really weird. They probably feel the same way about me. :D

Thanks Springy!

That last part isn't very comforting though. :p :D

Haha that was more of a reflection of what I'D be like on stage bro! :D

Just had a look at the Missoula Childrens Theatre. Hey did you by any chance do The Wizard Of Oz? And if so were you the scare crow? Just saw a pic that looks suspiciously like you..

Hey when the play winds to a close after the final show you should walk in to the after party with your 9 and offer to be part of the set and prop de(con)struction crew. Or not. You may not get asked back.

Anyway, as they say Dawso, break a leg. Why they say that is beyond me though. Terrible thing to wish upon someone..

Looks like the Esee JG3 is in stock at the "headquarters".

Im not grabbing one... at the moment anyways, but it is one of the only Esee's that interest me.

I like the candiru. Would like to check out the handle on the laser strike. I like the junglas.... The others... Just no. But this JG3 looks great, as far as the profile goes anyways.

Have to agree. It does look pretty cool. I don't like the Laser Strike though. Looks kinda weird. I think it's the huge drop point and small belly. Dunno.

Before I got my first Becker (BK2) I looked at the ESEEs (mainly the 5) but danged if I could afford one though. Then I found out, after I got my BK2, that the 2 has basically the same specs, slightly better steel and better handle ergonomics. So glad I went with Ethans offspring.

I do have to admit though, I'd love to see another 'get s#!tfaced and chop stuff' vid this time with the junglas.

Rock on WW.. Springy..

Lol, it reminded me of the time I had to say something along the lines of "I agree, it's a day to (something here)!" that was the cue to start a song, and I forgot it EVERY time. Eventually someone else said "I agree!" to try reminding me and I eventually figured out that it was my time to say something. :D

I've never done Wizard of Oz, but now I'm curious as to who my evil doppelganger is. Which picture was it? :D

I'm always about the only person who stays to help take the set down anyway, I don't want to get kicked out. :p I'll probably be carrying my 14 to practice though.

Thanks. I hope it doesn't actually break, though. Maybe just a bad sprain if I have to get injured. :D

It's actually a pretty cool part, just no one who's interested in doing a play since practice is two nights a week plus an entire week all at one (practice Sunday-Sunday in June). Thankfully old Pops said he could haul me or else the show wouldn't be able to go on. :D

That's nothing. I'm stage crew for our HS musical this year( beauty and the beast) we have been having rehearsals from 5-10 every night for the past 2 months it so

True, but it was supposed to be an all adult cast before they couldn't find anyone, and most adults that would even maybe be interested are cranky old coots with a 6 o'clock bed time. :D :p

That reminds me, I forgot to renew my magazine subscription nearly 10 years ago...

In on the one after last.

Gsom: yeah I got it. Second time my humor today went overhead.
Had a Sirius radio telemarketer call today and at one point she asked "so what do you and your wife like" ......... I said oooooohhh aren't you the cheeky one. That's a bit personal isn't it?" She responded with I'm sorry sir; I was just trying to inform you that we have plenty of options depending on your listening preferences.
Ahhhh whatever. It was funny in my head. Both times.
Tried on some shorts the other day and when I came out of the dressing room the sales lady says "how'd you make out?" - at which point I replied (something like) "but, ah...I was in there by myself!" She actually did chuckle a little.

T-wolf, I actually thought that was a funny play on words.

I sure do like the blade profile. It's basically the same as my Hiker model, so of course I do. :D

I ran the lights for shows while I was in high school. We would stay until like 1 or 2am on the nights we had to program. Those were the only days I fell asleep in class.:D

I would subscribe, but I'm sure it "costs too damn much", just like everything else these days... :D

I lied about having a subscription... actually I just wait for someone else to scan 'em and post 'em online for free. That's why I'm 9 years behind :o :D

ETA: (moved from the gathering headcount thread so as not to disrupt the civilized goings-on there: )

Should I bring buns?

Heh. Heheheh, yaaazzz, definitely bring your buns, cupcake!

Well, I was sitting here at a computer in the TechShop I go to when all of a sudden one of the big (4' x 6') safety glass windows of the wood shop exploded 10 feet behind me.

Seems some doofus left a steel ruler on the chop saw and failed to remove said ruler before attempting to cut a board.

Ruler is now in 2 pieces (one of which has not yet been found), the chop saw blade is fubar, the window is shattered and the wood shop is out of commission until the window is secured with a sheet of plywood to keep dust from blowing all over the rest of the facility.

So much for finishing a window tonight. :(

Zzy, are you the one that snatched up the Ka-Bar belt buckle on Ebay? It was the plate with slanted logo, wanted to get it but didn't have the cash.
