Norfleet Custom Knives Orders Update and 2 Linen Ivory Drop Points For Sale

I am one of those customers that purchased one of your knives recently. If it is "in the USPS pipepine" how about passing on the tracking number? I have bought a lot of knives on these forums and it seems like that is the normal procedure.

Especially with the issues people have had lately with receiving their knives from you in a timely fashion I would think you would want to prove you're trying by making every effort to keep your customers informed.

Your knives appear to be awesome but maybe you should partner with someone who can handle the business side of things.

Wow, the knives will ship 10-13-2008

That's funny, Norfleet make a deadline he set himself, bah ha ha ha ha

Sorry you guys may suffer, but a delivery date kept by this guy??????

Wow, wolfmann601 Keep this In the (oop's) Appropriate forum, maybe? ( I agree with you 100% )

I apologize to every whom I have affected. I was getting better but I didn't follow doctors orders and went to the shop to work because of all you great folks on the forums and I got sick again. They want me to go to a nursing home to recuperate but I won't go. I am working on everyone's knives and no matter how long it takes I will get everyone's knives done and no one will get taken. I will make all things right. I can't elaborate anymore as I just don't feel up to typing anymore, I got to get back to the shop.

I completely understand if you are prone to getting ill. How about this from now on. If you have a knife to sell, take pictures of it like you normally do (or take more just in case someone wants more detail). Then, box it up and have it ready to go. Then, when it sells, (it never takes long with your knives) all you have to do is print out a shipping label, slap it on, and drop it off at the post office.

DO NOT offer something up for sale unless it is ready to go. That way, another bout of illness won't get in the way of shipping it out.

Looking forward to getting my knife from you. It shouldn't take long if mine is truly in the usps pipeline like you said.

Thanks.

I have not ordered a knife from him , but he lives about 70.00 miles from me.

A friend of mine has talked to him and knows where he lives. I guess we could go help him... but im not much of a knife maker.

Still no knife. Just alot of emails saying its shipping tomorrow.
I even have a tracking number but the package was never turned over to USPS.
Just a online shipping tag. Never shipped.

Hmmm...both knives sold by 10-12-2008, promise made to ship by 10-13-2008... yet they BOTH show as "Still Available" and ready for sale on his link...wonder how many additional people bought those knives.

I think all the claimed "health" issues is just a heap of bad Karma crashing down on Mr. Norfleet.

Hope you guys get your knives, just don't forget that PayPal has a 40-day deadline to file a dispute to get your money back (you can always cancel your claim if the knife actually shows up.)

I have been looking into the dispute area of paypal.
Its just not something I really want to do. I just wish he would ship the knife.

I strongly advise that you file your dispute with PayPal immediately, you can always cancel your dispute if it gets resolved.

If the dispute with PayPal is canceled by you, the Seller's 'credit' is not harmed.

If you do file a dispute, PayPal will look into the issue and credit you back your money if Mr. Norfleet cannot prove he sent you the knife. This puts the pressure on Mr. Norfleet to perform. Too many disputes against him and PayPal kicks him out -this gives him incentive to keep his business "clean". The good thing about PayPal is that Mr. Norfleet's credit card or banking info is on file so they can debit him.

I have been burned twice on knife deals where the seller purposely strung-me-out until PayPal time expired and then they stopped answering my emails. Since I started using "Dispute Resolution", I have always received a refund.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info I looked into the PayPal dispute and I have 45 days. I will give him a few more days.I will give him every chance to make this right. I am about to the end of my rope. He is still saying the tracking number is good but USPS says intent to ship only.

I say "Dispute" it! Maybe getting notified by PayPal will give him enough incentive to stop by the Post Office on his many trips to the hospital.

Sorry about the lack of sympathy, but I've seen this play out before. Emails just aren't enough motivation to someone used to getting free money handed to him.

I did not know about the Paypal thing, its been 5 months since I sent him the money with Paypal.
Guess I'm screwed.

I actually received my knife today!!!!! It was the red handled one from another sales thread.

Hopefully you guys will receive yours soon.

I have also received my knife from Gilbert and while the history of my transaction may be different from those who have posted here who are actually dealing with him, I am satisfied with the outcome. If interested you can view my post here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=597271. Lentuk; don't think you are out of luck yet, I purchased well before you, bkrosco or Fiddlestick and after having dealt with Gilbert for a while now I'm guessing you will get your knife. He may be tardy with delivery but I don't believe he has any dishonest or malicious intent. Fiddlestick, good luck with your decision and I hope things work out for the best.
