Norfolk by Hampton

Congrats on a fine knife Mike!

Job well done Kerry, it looks like it would be a challenging build.

Norfolk by Hampton--------- I was thinking, this has an old world ring to it:thumbup:

Again, congrats to both you guys!

The Norfolk has got to be one of my favourite patterns, a real classic, Kerry's interpretation certainly ticks all the boxes, looks terrific, wonderful. A great acquisition Mike .

Could I just ask, the wharncliffe blade has different swages either side of the blade, is this the norm on this type of knife ?.

Mick

Hey Mike, that might just be the perfect knife for you ? What do you think ?

It sure looks like a good knife for me to carry and use Vince, but I haven't got it yet. I'll let Kerry provide the specs, but I'm sure it's the same as the Case/Bose size wise.

So that's why The Head has been so seldom around these parts!

No surprise when you think of the task of getting those blades in that frame on one spring AND sunken joints:eek::D

Very satisfying outcome though, a major piece of elegance:thumbup:

Moocho Grassyass fellas...I do appreciate the looks and oohs and ahhs. They are much appreciated.

It's a tight package and since this was my first one, Tony's coaching was key in being able to pull it off. In this knife I learned some concepts that you have to know to build multiblade folders with opposing blade pivots on a single spring. I wish I would have kept track of how much time I spent on this knife. Much of it was just spent in taking my time to (hopefully) do it right.

The different swedges on each blade help in making this knife a little easier to build since symetry is not an issue. The combination of swedges and crinks and thin grinds are absolutely critical in making those blades pass each other with some breathing room.

This knife would be a lot more fun to build if it wasn't for the stinkin ivory :D

There's a lot going on with that pattern. I ground two sets of blades at the same time just in case something went wrong...something did, but that's a whole nother story. It's been over 2 months since I completed a knife. This one got the monkey off my back :D

Beauty Knife, Kerry! Bye bye Monkey!! Hello Mikey!!
Nice to see you back in the saddle again, Mr. Knifehead, Sir!!:D

That is beautiful, and then I had to go to your website. The black backpocket and the teardrop jack - oh my. How long is your waitlist?

Absolutely fantastic! I love this pattern and that ivory looks beautiful. Congratulations to you both!
