Beauty Knife, Kerry! Bye bye Monkey!! Hello Mikey!!
Nice to see you back in the saddle again, Mr. Knifehead, Sir!!:D

You guys are very kind and pictures do say a lot but I wish everyone had a chance to handle a nicely made custom folder. As they say, "the devil's in the detail's"....well, somebody said that I think.

And Charlie, I actually had multiple monkeys on my back this summer and one almost drove me mad. It is a "continuing project" for a certain "colorful member" of our folksy brotherhood, who shall remain nameless but I will give a hint:

I say a continuing project because I have yet to kick that monkeys ass, but it will be kicked.....OH YES!....IT WILL BE KICKED! :D:thumbup:

The graceful curving lines make the Norfolk one of the most attractive patterns of all, and looking at these pics i'd say you couldn't get a better one anywhere without a time machine going back 150 years to Sheffield.
Congrats to both, but especially to Kerry, it's determined maker.

Wow! That is truely amazing!

I love the Norfolf pattern, and hope to have one made one day.

Congrats Mike, thats a speacial piece:thumbup:

And congrats to Kerry for pulling it all together on such a tough pattern to make:thumbup:

Come on Kerry - kick that Blue monkey!

Then we'll see how you do against Doctor Monkey!

Seriously good-looking knife!

How 'bout some specs?

Mike

Sorry for the pregnant pause...I just noticed your question.

The knife is a copy of the pattern that Tony designed for Case for the 2009 Case/Bose Collaboration. It is 3 3/4" long with ivory covers, 154CM SS blades and springs made from .108" thick stock, bronze/aluminum pivot bushings on both blades, 410 SS bolsters and pinned federal shield. There is just enough room on all sides of the blades to slip a standard piece of paper between blades and liners. Ground finish is necessary on this knife due to the potential of blade rubs but, I don't think that will be a problem.

Wow, there is so much that is awesome about that knife, but the one thing that really does it for me, trivial as it is compared to all of Kerry's other accomplishments, are the crisp lines around the shield.

I'll let you know after bear season late next month*

*We get a lot of gummy bears around here during Halloween. They're hell on knives.

Any chance of seeing a picture of that? That's the only angle that's not shown.

Thanks Kerry. I can see what you mean about only being able to get a piece of paper in between the blades and liners.

The stagecoach dropped off the Norfolk yesterday. It's slim, light, smooth, sharp; all the things you would expect from Kerry. I like the eased opening for the clip blade. Kerry said it was the first one he had done.

Like Kerry wrote previously, there's a lot going on with getting everything to fit correctly. The clip blade has a wicked little point on it and some cool swedge work.

Here it is next to a Case swayback:
