I've been placing lotsa o' my discretionary eggs in the GEC basket, so customer service anecdotes like this are very reassuring.
 
Man that is flat out great customer service. It's hard to imagine that there are companies out there that don't understand just how important good customer service is. I have a GEC dogleg and have been on the fence about getting a white owl but this is a company that I would not mind giving some more of my money.
 
These are great news! What a great company. Other companies could have said - misuse (or whatever). That´s really a great treatment on costumers, which is hard to find. Thank you posting this!

Wow. I'm just getting into traditionals and I read this post in addition to many others. I was indecisive about my making first traditional purchase but I can say after reading this post that GEC has earned a new customer (now I have the pleasure of being indecisive over WHICH MODEL to buy)!!!! Glad everything worked out well for the OP.
