Just pulled the trigger on this one! Blue and other colors too, that's what made me do it.

Singin 50 that one caught my eye to.I looked at it quite a while but passed. Very nice enjoy.

I just got the last orange, and a ivory also. They are going like hotcakes.

I got an orange a few moments after they went up and saw that last one vanish in front of my eyes. I bet there will be none left by Monday.

So we don't thread drift over the cliff--I think the design of this knife is a killer.

Sharpness: Northwoods knives seem to come with a better edge out of the bag than other GEC or Queen made knives. I do have a vintage large Northwoods toothpick made by Queen that had a terrific edge.

My new Broadway Elephant Ivory had a fair edge on it. I did put it on a wet stone and then strop tonight. Increased the edge surface ever so slightly so I could put a 14-16 degree edge on it. The stamped Northwoods on the blade and a slightly more pronounced edge really makes it pop.

Lol, I looked at number 44 a little too long and it was gone when I finally tried to put it in the cart.
Oh well at least I got one that has a lot of color to it.

Please talk about the knives instead of the ordering thereof.
If you have questions for Derrick, they should be directed to his store.

And do please show off the knife when you receive it.

If folks want to post pictures and talk about the pictures and features, they can. If they want to post a picture of the knife and say they just ordered one, there's a thread for that, and it is acceptable here.

If someone is saying how they wanted a certain cover material and that it sold out before he could place his order, that should be taken up with the store owner outside this forum.

If someone wants to ask the store owner who sells the knife a question, that should be handled outside the forum. A PM, VM, email, or a visit to the web site should be used. This forum is not an extension of the Knives Ship Free store.

The Traditiona Forum is about knives. Not the purchasing process.

You folks are not listening. I do not want to close this thread.

Yes the blue really varies from knife to knife, making each one unique. I remember a #15 pattern boys knife that Dr. Scott got a while back, with a sheepfoot blade, and thinking if someone ever designs a #15 framed EO pattern in this blue camel bone, I will get one.

I just got a blue, too. I think it has a rustic look that goes well with the blade. Looking forward to getting in hand to run it through the gauntlet (opening mail and slicing oranges). 😀

RedSparrow, is the knife in post #102 black camel bone ? It looks like Water Buffalo horn but i don't think this was offered. Regardless, it is a very attractive knife.
Blue camel bone has been offered on a number of GEC patterns and from the many pics posted it is popular. For reasons i cannot figure out, it does not appeal to me at all. Maybe if i saw one in person i would change my opinion. But i think the Blue Camels should be left alone. There can't be many of them left.

So mad about missing the release of these. I really wanted a red sawcut and orange one.
