Northwoods 15?

I was so mad about missing the release of these. I really wanted a red sawcut. I have been watching the GEC and the Knives Ship Free. I live 14 hours ahead of all you guys in Japan so when they were released I was sleeping. Dang.....is all I can think of. That beautiful picture of it on the GEC website sold that knife. Well maybe someone will feel sorry for me and hook me up. Anyone? LOL.

I am curious about the variation in the color of the camel bone. I was struck by the variation the blue camel bone. They ranged from deep blue to a light stone washed look. What causes the variation? Bone density or porosity? Length of soak in the dye?

I think that’s what I like traditional knives…the variation within a pattern. They are all unique.

Ron, I was able to get two, the undyed and blue camel bone. No pictures yet because they haven't made it to my hands.:D

Perry...I bet the undyed will look great. I think the red sawcut was just beautiful in my opinion. Way to go!

I'm interested to see how that black camel bone turns out! Might see them this week.

My Broadway Jack in undyed camel bone arrived. It's very nice! The walk and talk is very smooth. The pull is maybe a 5 with a nice half stop. As others have mentioned, it's very light in hand/pocket. However, I would have preferred a consistent finish next to the bolsters. I think this darker coloration is a result of buffing the bolsters. My guess is that in time with use the tone of the covers will even out. The leather slip is top quality! Overall, this is absolutely a winner. Nice job Derrick. The only bad thing is now I have to stalk KSF site for the black camel bone to release. :D

I see that same coloration on the GEC photo of the knife from their web site. Seems odd though. I have a bunch of smooth undyed bone GEC covers and none have this. None of the other handles have this feature/flaw.

I use flaw guardedly as these are part of the uniqueness of any bone/stag handles.

What a run...going, going, almost gone. Awaiting another run. [emoji6]

Knice knife, Curtis. I think it looks better than the shot on the website.

Here's the undyed that just came in the mail. I really like the peppery look to the scales. Hope to snag a black camel bone. The red sawcuts look awesome as well to whoever was able to grab one!

I'm incredibly happy with the 15 Ivory - just perfect...flush at all 3 positions (and I mean dead flush), great aesthetics, and amazing ivory

Great lookin knife, Jake! Like the peppers too!

Thanks Perry! The blue one you got is pretty cool with all of the different colors. Definitely has character!

And David, excellent ivory. It's so clean looking

Beautiful David! And mine came today as well! Flush at all points here too and perfect blade centering. See all those pits,,,,they bring me instant joy!
Undyed and flawed, very sharp out of the package too, just like I would hand pick it. It should age really well in years to come.
