I'm thinking about buying a Fremont (KSF has a new run working and should be available in about 6 weeks) but before I do, I'd like to see a comparison pic with some other knives. The KSF specs say it's a 3.75" knife with a 2.5" blade ( I don't know if their measurement is from the bolster to the tip or just the cutting edge). That seems like an undersized blade for that size handle. If you have any pics that you can post...please do.

PS......For comparison, a GEC 73 Scout is a 3.75" knife with a blade that measures 3.125" (bolster to tip).

Thanks.....Bruno

I posted a comparison in a previous thread asking for this exact comparison. I'll try to dig up the pictures again tonight and post them

Thanks....The search function is disabled so no way for me to see older posts.

I am also considering a Fremont Jack or a Indian River Jack. I also have a GEC 73 so any photos of those three together would be a great help. Thank you everyone.

You will love the IRJ! Can't wait until mine's back from the spa.

I'll be hoping to land one of the Freemont Jack's in camel bone. It's a great looking knife imo and I love that blade shape but it will also depend on the price.

GEC website has some mammoth scale photos up. Not my choice for scales but good to see everything falling into place and we could see them sooner than expected.

Lets go... I need another one.

A great blade! I am hoping the price is reasonable despite all the hype.

prices should be within a few dollars of last time. The mammoth will be very expensive. That stuff is gold now days.

I went over to the GEC website to have a look an the green micarta is looking very appealing.
