Northwoods Fremont Jack...Need Comparison Pics.

I'm with you on the Yellow Bone, Jon. Based on owner feedback I'm getting the idea that the photos don't quite capture the true beauty. I believe Derrick also mentioned something about the depth of the coloring. That being said, I would like to see some photos of the Calico Bone and the Yellow Camel Bone side by side from those who have both variations.

Good grief - I'm weakening. The yellow bone is looking better each day.

I compliment you for your correct use of "complement."

Go for it. I think the yellow gives the knife that "old time" feel and charm.

:D And thanks for the compliment.

*sigh - OK, I gave in. I burned through what was left and found a deep yellow one I thought looked really nice. It's on the way. I guess being part of an enthusiast forum lets you send them along down the road with minimal loss. I have a feeling this one is going to fight my GEC 42 for pocket time though, especially with the included pocket slip.

Good choice. :D I got my green micarta Fremont yesterday and love it. Feels great in the hand and you're going to love it.

Way to go! I think you'll be quite pleased.

And we expect pics the moment it arrives.:D

That's a great looking knife, bdev....lots of color. Boy, the blue camels disappeared pretty fast in that latest batch of Fremonts.

I'm just curious about other Fremont Jack owners. How low does your knife sit in the pocket? Could it be lower or it's where it should be? I would say my blade tip is about a 1/2 mm below the liner if that.

Mine's about the same. It's not proud by any means, so I'm not bothered by it. If it was any higher, I'd probably take a file to the kick a little.

I have 3of the last batch of Fremonts.Blue is 1/32" or less. Yellow 1/8" plus.Mammoth 1/8".The blue is just right there ,but you cant touch the point with fingernail.

I received my new yellow camel bone Fremont jack a few days ago I got #48 the FF is amazing, the scales are amazing, excellent walk and talk, and a perfectly centered blade. I have never carried a pocket knife in a slip before but the one that is included is just the icing on the cake. I am so glad I purchased this one! It hasn't left my pocket since I opened the package.

WOW! I guess I showed up too late and missed the boat. Had never even seen these until just a few days ago. Since there are no more Blue Camel Bone Freemonts left, I found a Presidential with the Blue Camel Bone to tide me over (should be here in a few days). Hopefully the Freemonts will be offered again one day. Congrats to you all.
