NOSS 4 Injured!

Bungwrench: Thanks, the doctor said I was lucky to be alive. I could have been much worse. I guess some one is looking out for me indeed.

The doc said my ribs and back will recover 100 percent better then they were before. Good news. It will take about 4 weeks to fully mend. the pain will be gone in about 2 weeks. The lung was a major concern for me because I'm a Scuba diver. He said I it will make a full recovery in about 2 months. So I don't have to sell my scuba gear. ;)

The lung puncture was real dangerous. Good thing you're healthy and healed quick! The pain that's left is just to keep you honest -- and careful. :D

Hope you have a quick recovery. (and full)

Whoa! How did I miss this??

Well, I'm glad the boy is alright, after all.

Mend well and quickly.

Mandatory relaxing. I've hurt my back a few times, I was in therapy for two years. Gotta relax and let the body heal and don't have to much fun with the painkillers.

Hope your feelin better soon noss.

Thanks men for your kind thoughts. I'm going to be a lot more careful from now on. I don't ever want to have to go through this ever again. I hope none of you
ever have the same experience as me.

wingchun74: I'm taking it easy with the painkillers. They have me on Vicodin, good stuff actually but I sure don't want to become addicted to it. I can see
now how people do very easily.

Thanks again everyone. :)

Vics can be addictive. Back in my fightin' days it was the norm for alot of fighters to use painkillers to train through the pain. I started this after many injuries and wrote it off as part of the game. When I realized how stupid I was I found other ways to deal with the pain. Accupuncture does wonders, my kung fu sifu had me on weekly therapy for a shoulder injury. I'm still shocked how good it made the pain flow away and speed healing time.

And yes, as we get older, careful is better and hurts much less. Take care

Ludwig://wingchun74: Thanks, I'm getting better every day. Today was a good day I was able to walk around a lot. I'll be back in action soon.

Thanks

In the last few videos you've made, I nearly saw your face. Besides I like the videos you've made.
Can you imagine my life without watching your videos?
Do not let me down, and get well with you.
All the best.

Cliff Stamp//Stubai I built a large water tank ( test tank ) For the SOG SEAL 2000 knife underwater video destruction test .The tank is 8'x8'x8' It holds about 5000 gallons of water. It was full for about 1 month while I was finishing everything up for the test. about 3 weeks ago the tank broke at one of the corners and all the water escaped form it. I have been working on repairing the tank the last 2 weeks.

The tank is above ground. There are 2 ladders one to get on top of the tank and one to climb down into the tank. I was inside making repairs last Wednesday.I climbed up the ladder to get out of the tank. There is a platform on top. I stepped onto the platform, like I have done about 200 times and my foot slipped out from under me and I fell 8 feet inside the tank on by back. the bottom of the tank is covered in concrete. After a few minutes I was able to climb out of the tank. I walked into the garage and collapsed and called 911 on my cell phone. The ambulance came and took me to the hospital for about 4 days.

demoteamone: Thanks, I'll be back in action soon. I 'm not supposed to do anything psychical for about 3 weeks.

The Almighty has definitely taken a liken to you! I fell about four feet last november and tore two ligaments in my knee. My accident was nothing as serious as your injuries, I do know what it is like being out of commission for awhile. Good luck on a speedy and full recovery!

aktoklat: I have never torn a ligament but it sounds painful..knee injures are hard to get over. I have the same knee problem since high school. Doctors were
never able to figure it out. So I just leaned to live it.

I'm getting better. I just have to sit around for three weeks. It's already getting
to me. I don't like staying still for to long.

Thanks

and I fell 8 feet inside the tank on by back. the bottom of the tank is covered in concrete.

Ooouuutch! In many ways you were lucky. That could have been easily your neck! Hope your recovery continues well!

Glad you are on the mend, that sounds like you had an unlucky fall, but got somewhat lucky in the end.

Wear a biker jacket with an armadillo next time!

HoB: I know I could be paralyzed from the neck down. There is a support in the bottom of the tank for mounting a vice for the test. If I landed across it would have broken me like a twig. I just missed it. Thanks

The General: Thanks.
