Objective information (pictures) is always a good thing for consumers. :thumbup:Talking about Frankenknife scams is even more useful info. :thumbup::thumbup:Very disappointing. I saw a BF member list a FrankenSabenza about two years ago. The member even apologized for what he had done on BF. Your knife looks too flawed to be anything other than a frankenknife. I believe what KAI Corp said. At the same time, I don't like to see individuals degrade or try to muzzle fellow members.:mad:

But no, we had to see twenty seven eight-by-ten color glossy photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was to be used as evidence against them. :rolleyes:

Disagreed. The OP merely displayed photos of the obviously poor build quality for us to see, then told us that ZT responded appropriately to the issue. It IS pretty appalling that they would allow a knife to go out with so many measurable flaws.

Well cross zt off my list. Nothing to do with the knife, he gets attacked from post one. Makes a comment back and he its the one the mod reprimands. I never took the original post as him trying to bash zt. But i have no dog in the fight either. To many other good knives on threes market to deal with people like this.
 
Neither did I (take it as...). Just a guy surprised by pretty excessive quality control issues on a relatively expensive item.

I never saw it as a ZT bash thread either, just a really rough
looking knife that should have never got past QC.
He did say in the first post that ZT was fixing it, and
without pics everyone would have fussed about wanting pics
to see the flaws. Or even said they didn't exist.
These forums are so much better when people act like
adults and agree to disagree...
 
I agree. We (Kai fans) need to stop getting offended by criticism. I totally understand that we love Kai's products and know that they are an awesome company to do business with, but other people that are first time buyers are new to the experience and don't know any better. If you had a bad experience with your first purchase from any company you would bitch too, and have every right to do so. Bashing them for rightfully critiquing something is not doing Kai any favors. In fact, it would tend to put a sour taste in that new customers mouth and Kai might lose a potential lifelong customer. I think it is our responsibility as Kai fans to extend the same customer service to our bladeforum members as Kai extends to their customers. Positive feedback will result in a positive attitude towards a great product and company. Kai CS will do the rest. Anything less and you are not helping the company you think you are sticking up for...you are hurting it.
 
You could be right. I also have a theory. My theory is that the average age of BF members is younger than it is for the overall population. What's more, I suspect the average age of contributors to subforums like W&C is even younger than it is for BF in general. If I'm correct, behaving like adults may not be in our cards.
