I have had this happen to me, except my truck was parked (up on the curb) and the drunk went right through a telephone pole, then my truck, and the neighbors fence.

He still tried to run, I walked after his truck (lol) and pulled him out, he accidently had his face bounce off the ground:p Then my buddy (LAPD) showed up and hauled his sorry ass away. NO INSURANCE:mad:

I stay home on new years, and if I ever go to friends house and get trashed, im sleeping over.
 
Thanks for the kind words guys. Yeah I was ready to haul the guy out and "detain" him for the police but the dude would not stop! I could not believe how fast he was driving on the narrow streets, just blowing through stop sings. My buddy and I were not even following him that close and he just kept booking it. Though he probably thought he was in for a whooping seeing a black f-j cruiser (my buddy) and my truck not even hesitate to follow his sorry butt, I don't blame him for not stopping hahahaha. I'm really not that upset about it, they caught the jerk, my truck is fixable, and most important everyone is ok. And I got to go for a short ride in a Dodge Charger squad car to go ID the guy's truck....wow those Chargers are sweeeeeeet. Thanks again guys.
 
DAMN IT! I just noticed that the guy put a nice sized gash in the sidewall of my tire!! No way I'm driving down the freeway with sidewall damage, so I had to throw the spare on since my tire place is not open today. Called the insurance company and they said to fix anything I have to before the claims guy comes to see it and give him the reciept. So a little out of pocket for now, but that idiot that got me is sure going to pay!

What goes around comes around, as they say. You did a good thing by getting a drunken driver off the streets, so something good should happen to you this year. Just don't forget to let us know when it does :)

And glad you are ok, could have been a lot worse.
 
I just found out from the PD that the guy was taken to the county jail, not sure how long he is in for. I don't know all of the charges, but DUI, hit and run, and reckless driving are in the mix. Cudos to him, he gets what he deserves.
