Not so kitchen, knives!

My Pathfinder usually gets used in the kitchen, if any of my knives are used. Thin edge, 1/8" stock, and it has a great blade profile for kitchen work in my opinion. Sorry, no pictures, I'll go to the corner now.
Get in your corner! If we are talking about the same Pathfinder, you are right Bryan puts a thin edge on his knives great for slicing.

Well, fine. I guess I'll post a picture. But it's not in the kitchen and nowhere near food. It is a Pathfinder, though, with a couple of its close friends. I should take some more pictures of my knives, this picture is getting in danger of being worn out.

Non-kitchen kitchen knives?

BRKT Canadian Sportsman II as a meat prepper.
BRKT Cumberland Trail for other slicing and chopping.
Spyderco Street Beat as a paring prep knife.

Mike you got the coolest knives. I said it before people, Mike always has the newest knives from the newest up and coming makers. I just copy whatever he and TonyM have. Mike got me into ML knives and I think everyone should own at least one.

I saw a video on Youtube of a guy using a Huntsman SAK in the kitchen. It was amazing, you can tell he was a real chef or serial killer.

I used to use my deluxe tinker for a steak knife. that thing was a razor blade.
I know I love sak even though most outdoor guys like a good fixed blade. I bought the g|f a ceramic knife for christmas to use in the kitchen.

Some nice knife ideas here :)

Personally i just use a Mora clipper most of the time (or a Native).
But i may have to invest in something a bit more interesting :)

I think that Nessmuks are particularly suited for kitchen duty.

Love seeing pics like these. Use pics.

very cool! I just picked up one of these. I tell you it is quickly becoming my favorite. A very understated but immensely utilitarian blade. Does everything you throw at it. Now I have to get it into the kitchen.

Hi all,

Reuben I got some cocobolo on hand and was just about to put it on a T H Bushcrafter but decided at the last minute to put orange on instead. LOL But I am working on another and was thinking of put it on the next one.

There are lots of great knives used in the kitchen.
Great post Reuben,

Bryan

Every single new field knife I get is first used in the kitchen, and then they regular pop up for kitchen chores after they prove useful. It's mostly because I just plain enjoy using them more than a standard, boring kitchen knife.
