  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

NOTABLE PAIRS : Only traditionals

Picked these two up at an antique shop today. The smaller one is a Hoffritz marked Hoffritz NY Made in Germany. The larger of the two is marked Clauss Fremont Ohio USA. I just read that in the 1920’s Fremont, Ohio was known as the “Cutlery Center of the World”. Both knives are in good working order.

Dark bone with some faux jigged for comparison.

I know Delrin is tougher, but bone has a detail and richness of color that molded plastic just can't match.

Some pictures comparing a 1930's Fairmount Jack and a GEC #66 Jack
The Fairmount is elegant and slim, while the GEC is more robust. Both are fantastic!

Two great pocket carrys there John. I've never seen or heard of a Fairmount knife before, that is an elegant knife.
