Couple of SUPERBS there
Your contributions are always high calibre
The one on the right I sent myself to Slipjoint Spa / David V... I just got the green burl one tonight from a buddy on a FB group... to me it looks like another Slipjoint Spa mod, but I don't want to assume because the covers are contoured flat on the burl and the Turkish Walnut is rounded. I asked him who did it. I will post if it turns out is was not Slipjoint Spa.Your contributions are always high calibreVery interesting Burl on the left? Who managed this re-cover it looks really something. More GEC Farm&Field should be in woods, I had a 71 re-handled in a very beautiful Yew but it soon cracked around the pivot
and it seemed impossible to rectify, others woods properly cured and worked are durable for Shadow construction though.
David is real good. He did these two 86's that have a lot of work into them... pinned shields, bolster flute, lanyard hole mod/add, blade deletes, hand rubbed satin applied, G10 liner, etc... he does total reworks if you want him to.Great work, very tasteful re-handling![]()
Thank you, Will...I love the variation in depth and character that comes with Ivory/Smooth White/Oiled boneCouple of SUPERBS thereIvory Bone always a very rewarding scale and has great ageing potential too.
