Notably Absent?

I'd probably be set on my knife collection with the following released:
  • BOSC ID - BG or INFI Comp Finish (overall length < 7")
  • BG Gladius
  • Folder
Ash 2 is my camping knife, ASHBM my wood processor, TGLB my truck knife, HG55 my deer knife, Folder would be my EDC, dagger would be my belt knife, and Gladius my SHTF blade. :)

Bowie blades have been very notably absent, Ive been noting the absence forever now :D
You know, Ive seen all kinds of blades called bowie knives based on all kinds of historical facts and interpretations but to my way of thinking a bowie has to have a serious clip at the very least.
This is just one more reason we NEED the BG MOAB! :)

Well, not really. The original Bowie from the sandbar fight was more like a large heavy butcher style blade. like these which are very old in their own right:

Tanker-A and Euro 4 and all the models on that handle. BA3, PD, Groove Master, Buffalo soldier, SJ
Coated ztbm2's

Sure, I think youve shown me something similar before, I still prefer the one he had on him at the Alamo :D

I know, but I don't think there is any real representation of it. No one really knows what it looks like. Except the Mexican soldier that took it with him. My guess is that it was likely one of the above with a top swedge for back cuts at best.

yeah, that is a bummer but I'll settle for the modern classic interpretation. I think Jerry does one heck of a bowie blade, and i hope we see a coffin handled double talon guard variant soon, aka the Texican Bowie :D
