Now onto something more serious...

Really cool idea! Count me in.

I just sent that extra Gerber LMF knife I had lying around to a buddy shipping-out for Afghanistan soon. I used the "medium" flat-rate USPS box, added "delivery confirmation", and it cost slightly under $12.

This reminds me of a really cool "Secret Santa"-type operation. :thumbup:
 
Sounds like a very neat idea and very generous of you!

I'd be interested in seeing what people get out of it and what things others decide to put in. I would not sign up to receive the box myself, just because I know I am the world's worst procrastinator and I wouldn't get the box shipped on to the next person on time (I've got a dead FIOS set-top box in the other room I've been needing to call on and get replaced for many weeks now).

on Hoodswoods they've done a flat rate box and you would ship to a person. that person would take out what they like AND add to the box what they have to give away in order to ship it to the next person on the list.

I like this idea...We all have something laying around that we don't need multiples of *ducks under desk* SO this would work out great.
