NUMBER 9....NUMBER 9....$90 Canvas Hunter

The knife offered in this thread arrived today.

See all the nice things said about Eddie's work in the posts above? I agree 100% with all of them. Fine work in all respects.

I just got my number 9 canvas hunter in the mail (serial # 13), and it's great. The quality, fit, and finish rival knives that cost two or three times more. Super work, and the easiest people in the world to deal with. SunnyD, you were right! I just emailed Eddie and ordered another one before he gets swamped with orders. Bill

Hello Bill and all the rest of the good gang here,,

Yup - Eddie's work is really incredible as you all can now see!

I am used to dealing with only the finnest top shelf quality custom user knife makers and there best work. Now that me and mine have found Shadowknives I can't see us a changing up for anything else..

All the best to you guys and Happy Hunting! And keep up the fine work Eddie and a Happy Thanksgiving holiday to you and yours!:)

:o To each and every one you that have received your knives- It thrills me beyond belief to know my work is as appreciated as it is to you all. thank you so much for taking the time to compliment my work publicly. I thank God for giving me good talents and am glad I have had the chance to learn so much in 30 years. I really love making knives, it's like it's not work at all.
Happy Holidays!
Eddie

Hey all! This is Lora...Eddie's wife. I've been working on the website and wanted all to know I hope I discovered a better way to take the orders for the $90 Hunters. Check out the website, it's on the front page. Thanks to all! We will let you know when the wait time gets longer, but so far so good. As long as the UPS man gets supplies to us regularly (we are kind of in the woods of BFE), and the good Lord keeps Eddie's hands steady and his mind sharp, we'll keep on shipping them out. Uh, #13 ordered on the 14th and got it today the 22nd, so that's not too bad. He is a machine yall...you should have seen him the year he made the 1200 for CASE!

Again, we'll be at a show this weekend, but I hope to get to a PC! I can hope!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I asked in this post if he had any with a lanyard hole and the response was that he had one in progress with a 4" blade. He was working on it and would contact me when completed (with my choice of handle material). Well I got it yesterday :D, what a great knife. Fit and finish are great and hair popping sharp. If you are on the fence with Eddie's work, get off!! He does great work at a very reasonable price, easy to work with and very fast with his commentments THANK YOU!!!! Sincerly Martin

I have an Eddie hunter coming to me in the mail. I know we are buying a knife as the primary purpose but I also feel it's great to support a family run business.

Nice doing business with Eddie and Lora. It's good for all :)

Thanks SpearZ! We have had word that the knives made it thru the blizzard and into SpearZ's hands. Glad you got 'em and even gladder you liked 'em! Nice doing biz with u! thanks. eddie

I got a bigger version with 4" blade cutting edge and 4 1/4" handle. It's a very nice knife and sheath. This knife is in the EDC category for my thinking. Very usable and I have worn it all day without any discomfort.

With my big hands when I grip it my outside finger just barely touches the handle and the butt of the knife is in the butt of my palm. It is actually comfortable gripping. I have done some test cuts, it did very well.

To summarize this review I would say Eddie makes a quality EDC usable knife :)

Also, picked up the maker's choice which will be a collector piece or go to the son who's a knife collector all ready at the age of 10, he's only getting swiss army knives right now, how did that happen.

Thanks Eddie and Lora, it was easy and a pleasure doing business with you!

I couldn't agree more.. Well stated SpearZ

Which reminds me, yet another one of my hunting/fishing crew showed up here over the Thankgiving Holiday and saw the shadowknife stock I have got from y'all as of late and made me promise I would get one made for him too.. So I need to put in for yet another one of these..

I recon I'll go to the website though as Lora advises..:D

Eddie,
I second all the good things said as I received #17 in the mail today. I am very pleased with both the sheath and knife. I have many more expensive knives but this is as sharp as any and way more than most. The blue & black micarta look very nice in person. If I could make any changes it would be a black sheath to go with the blue & black and 3/4" added to handle. Bottom line I love it and will use it! Yes sir one great EDC & terrific value.

thanks and keepem sharp

thanks,
eddie

Received the knife today, in black canvas micarta.

It is absolutely terrific.

Fit and finish; sharpness - wow.

The pictures are great but in person the knife is even better.

Great knife - an immediate user - GREAT value - and
dealing with Eddie and Lora was truly a pleasure.

Thanks again!
