Nutnfancy

I'm a fan of Nutn's. I disagree with him pretty often, but I enjoy his videos. Doesn't really matter if a few people don't like him, he's got enough of a backing to keep him around doing what he's doing and I think it's a good thing. I particularly like his coverage of SHOT Show every year because it seems like he's the only person actually finding anything out about new products rather than doing a quick 2 minute overview that doesn't cover any specs on what's coming out other than their names and when to expect them.

I really enjoy X4CTO as well as he's got a great sense of humor and he's all over Spyderco which is cool. Cajunblaze is great as well. Both have great personalities that shine through when doing their reviews.

Like many others said, I just recently got into knives from nutnfancy about a month ago. He is a very narcissistic person, which is a quality I dont like but he sure knows what hes talking about and works hard. I learn a lot from him and enjoy his videos a lot. Although I cant stand when he has a review of a blade for 40 mins and hes just babbling about nothing.

One thing I thought was real funny was when he was reviewing a Ontario RTAK. He was talking about how great large blade survival knives are, he was inferring he was the sole reason those types of knives are so popular now. lol

Well the reason these guys like nutn and cutlery don't do many knife reviews if not any these days is nobody is sending them free blades like in the good old days. Companies are getting great publicity through word of mouth and other media like the average youtube reviewer and they don't need to wh*re their products by sending free stuff to guys who hype them up on the internet. Out with the old, in with the new.

found out today nutnfancys an asshole, he blocked me cus i dissagred on 1 thing, been subbed for 3 years , he's one of those who become an asshole with a little power

I like some of nutn's videos. I actually do. The one that cracks me up is his EDC video...the guy basically carries a bug out bag on his person everywhere he goes.

Compare this to James Yeager, who runs a tactical training company called Tactical Response and, unlike Nutn, has actually seem time in Iraq as a security contractor...

....one just seems a bit mall ninjaish to me....I'll leave it to y'all to determine which.

I like some of his stuff. But I get tired of hearing him whine about Weight and Gimping. And his 2012 Zero Tolerance Shot Show video where he said Kershaw had been listening ( to his videos ) to lighten their knives. Please. He isn't that influential.

He's in love with his own self imposed 'legend' as are many of his sycophantic fans. What makes me ignore him like I would a snuff film is how dogmatic he is about his little Youtube world he exists in , as if he is doing us all the biggest favor in the world by his mere will. How royal of him !.... -sarcasm -
Nobody needs to ramble on about the merits of any one knife as much as he does.

That both cracks me up and makes me feel embarrassed for him. He has not influenced me to buy anything , I buy what I buy because I like it , not because him or anyone else , 'endorses' it with their seal of approval.

I enjoy his reviews. He's very humorous and carries positive energy. I don't get people who want shorter reviews from him because he's just fun to watch. As for the content of his reviews, I find them a little too short in depth. What I mean by that is, I remember watching some of his reviews of knives that he hadn't really been using much. He gave reasons for liking the knife by its design mostly, ergonomics, and things as such. I agree with Jonsa on "NeptuneKnives." Neptune is willing to abuse high-end knives like Striders and other custom knives just for the sake of reviews. And he's more honest and straight forward than Nutn IMO.

I think Nutnfancy employs his sister to manage his Youtube channel, and I think I recall hearing that she's extremely thin-skinned and defensive of her brother. But there's no excuse for blocking someone for respectful disagreement. That's unacceptable.

And while I like Nutnfancy and have defended him before, his videos seem to be getting more quirky and weird. Though I haven't seen a knife review of anything I would be interested in for a while, and his SHOT show videos (based on past years) are excruciating.

honestly i think the majority think of him as ok, he's got some vids we all like and humor rarely seen, but the whole weight and gimping thingy is such a buzzkill, and his sister answers questions on his vids etc, i think the guy is thinking to highly of himself, honestly his gotten this a-hole attitude lately, i find myself gravitate more towards equip2endure these days

i love watching these unprepared videos with jittery camera motion and no rhyme or reason to the progression of the videos, as well as taking up half the video in the unboxing, all things you miss in a nutnfancy video. good reason to hate the guy i guess.

Used to be a fan, in fact I bought a flash 1 because he kept ranting and raving about it but sold it a month later. Not that great of a knife. I watched a couple of his SHOT show videos and had to close the tab. He has some good points, but overall, I think he's a douche.

I think he should act his age and stop

his viewers to death.

I also don't get how you and your buddies out hunting and talking about the gear you use is considered a "project". Projects are normally things not done by other people, special outings or engagements.

I DO like his shot show interviews, I think they're informative and well done and not many if any other reviewers do interviews with manufacturers.
So "yay" that.
