NuttinFancy's review

Lets just start over...Welcome to the forums, I really cant wait to see your post after you get you M43. You are going to be in shock at the level of care taken, heck I was amazed at the sheath let along the kukri. It still smells like a leather coat outlet or a saddle store. It has an extremely good smell that just screams QUALITY. Please post pics of your kukri when you get it. We all love our HI blade porn...

My HI WWII 16.5inch is so solidly build and feels real good in the hand. I'm in awe every time I pick it up. They make great products.

I am pretty much always in a group hug with all the dark spirits in my mandau-- I am willing to join in a normal group hug only if my mandau can also be in this planned group hug
As long as that thing dont leave with more hair on it than it came in with then i say bring it with ya Gehazi! ...just point it down away from heads for the hug! Welcome to the shark tank gtk4158a! Good to have ya!

I have 8 kukris. I have the m43. A great knife no doubt but my favorite is actually the 15" size. What the 15" knives lack in weight or in the arc of the swing they gain by not wearing you out as quickly compared to the 18" blades.. I have chopped down several VERY hard , dead dogwood trees with them. This company goes far to treat their kAMIs very well. Shipping and damage can be a large cost driver here. Also some products do not survive the humidity changes and due to Aunties high standard get sold at a discount. Your m43 will be flawless and nicely shined. You will not want to mark it up. The horn handles are nice but the wood is easier to hold over long periods. I use tacky black cloth tape (like baseball bat grip tape) sold in the electrical dept for pulling cables thru conduit to wrap the grip. The heat from your hand makes the tape slightly tacky and it comes off without damage.

Thank you all for the input on the m43 i ordered. I am going to take it to Alaska next spring on an extended Back country trip and i will post Pictures of it along with a indepth review on my thoughts on it.. I was just thinking right now, The Kami is working on "mine" which even though he is several thousand miles from me, i can almost hear the sound of the Hammer striking Red hot steel and a "knowledgable look on his face.. Kinda exciting , huh?

Still thinking of just one? :)

Cul is right, I was only going to get one. Not a collection. I don't know what grew on me, the kuks or the denizens of this forum..........

Quick somebody tell me what a denizen is, I think I might resemble that!

you are guilty as assumed,lol...a denizen is a foreigner allowed certain rights in the adopted country. or it could refer to, an inhabitant or occupant of a particular place.
pick your poison.

Yeah, I only planned on getting one, too. :o It is difficult to say what happened - how wonderful Yangdu and Karda are, how much fun and how genuine the forum members are or the craftmanship and how "alive" the blades feel.

Although, instead of merely "denizens" the members here are probably more "enablers", lol. ;)

we are enablers definitely-- sometimes I buy a guy a knife just because I know he will buy the second one for full price from yangdu. that is how low down we are, pushers I tell you. its kinda like that parasite that makes you want to take care of more cats, I think we have one that is from nepal that makes you want to own HI products.
