Unfair? I don't think so. There are plenty of other places to buy knives. Shop somewhere else.

If you think that their prices are too high, don't buy from them. Simple. Posting in the BG&U forum because you don't like their prices is ridiculous. I've found that, like most things in life, you get what you pay for when purchasing from online cutlery dealers. I've purchased several knives from Leslie at NW Cutlery. I've always received the absolute best service from her. Several times she's had knives in stock that no other dealer had when I wanted one. What's that worth? Quite a bit to me.
James Mattis' Chai Cutlery also didn't have the lowest prices either, but you'd be hard pressed to find a customer of his that didn't think the overall buying experience from Jim was worth every cent they paid.
If you want only low prices, there are plenty of dealers out there for that. However, don't be suprised if over time your experiences with the rock-bottom-price dealers leaves you less than satisfied.

Jeez guys, sorry, i really didnt mean it that way at all. I do in fact order from her despite this, and was only curious. Its a competitive bussines like any other, with lots of options for the consumers. Its also a very small world with personal relationships between consumers and dealers, and i didnt mean to offend anyone. Its just that there are lots of places that offer great service, and i honestly do beleive there is a fairly large price difference, and just wanted your opinion. So again, sorry, and i didnt mean to be bashing the company at all.

I just got a custom handmade knife from them which I won on EBAY and I thought they were GREAT to deal with. I've called them several times for information on other items and they always are helpful. I think they're GREAT!!!!
