Here is the knife Nick is contributing for a forum knife. Please post if you are interested in ordering this design. (I know I am as this one is all mine!:D) Here's his specs on it:

Here is the knife I would like to offer up er..... well this style. This one is spoken for. Thanks Thayne I hope you like it as much as I do.

The specs are 3/16" O-1 HT'd to 59-60 RC with a visible hamon( though it is tough to see in the poor pic)
5" Blade
OAL 10"
green Canvas Micarta Scales with stainless hardware
Sheath will be a pouch sheath treated in bees wax

I was going to put this style in for the BF knife. It was supposed to be a different style than the ones I have already made. So I blended two knives to come up with this one. Any feed back is welcome positive or negative. I hope you guys don't mind I added a few 45-70 rnds in the pic for scale.

Thanks
Nick

I like it better than the others. I would like one like that if I could get it with a kydex sheath.

Agreed! That knife with kydex or without the leather sheath; would be the perfect survival knife to me. That nice wide blade with a great in between length. From the looks it, you will get great cutting power and leverage because the blade is inline or almost below you hand. Nice choil for good control. Man I have sold myself on getting this knife.
And green micarta!! :)

it looks great!! nice comfortable looking handle.

effective, yet unassuming guard.

nice blade shape w/ large belly and full height grind, should be a good all around camp/hunting knife.

That is very nice. good score tknife.

tknife,
Interested, just waiting for the ordering details: cost, deposit et al. Will a kydex be available?

As far as I know, Nick only works in leather so you would need to send it to somebody like Normark or Robert H. for a Kydex sheath. I'll get the details up asap.

Thanks for the positive replys fellas. I am selling this knife for $150.00 with a leather sheath. I know some of you are not really interested in a leather sheath. So for those of you who wish to opt for no sheath, pricing would be like $15.00 less. I think that is the same amount that Ken is knocking off of the price. As for the BF stamp, pricing will be the same as Ken posted as I want to use the same stamp that he is using so I will have to have one made by the same company. This way the stamp will be the same across the board.

If I missed any topic please let me know.

Thanks again
Nick:)

Hehe, I know, just trying to make life harder for everyone :D Seriously, I am so happy this got off the ground, and we have two EXCELLENT makers on board! I'd be proud to carry any of the three designs shown.

Nick's knives are simply great. The fit, finish and sharpness is equal or better than knives costing twice as much. I know; he made two for me. His leatherwork is also wonderful. The knives fit into the sheaths with a audible "pop" to let you know they really fit. As I said before, buy a knife now before he realizes how good he is and raises his price. Thanks, Nick. Bill.
