Hey everybody, Nick will start shipping the knives out in small batches so as not to go too crazy trying to ship 64 knives at once ;) He'll be going in the order in which he received payment. Spark's knife will be in this first batch too. Please post pics when you get yours if you can, it would be very cool to see them all!

From Nick:
am going to be making these 5 at a time as I want to try and keep my mind fresh, by not doing all of the grinding, all of the handles etc. etc. I have all of the blanks ready to go with all of the pin holes drilled. I hope everyone will be happy with this method.

Thanks
Nick

I received my notice from Nick that my knife was ready to ship. Paid him today the remainder and he shipped today and provided a tracking number. Looks like Thursday will be the best day of this week :D

Must say I am very impressed how quick Nick got the first batch done, and the outstanding customer service. Especially considering that this is a huge project and I would understand if I just received minimal information or such, but Nick provided great customer service with a personal touch. I still felt like I was ordering a custom knife, not just jumping on a group order.

That's awesome! I'm very happy I jumped on the bandwagon. I don't know where I am the priority list, just hoping I have before my end of September antelope hunt.

Is Nick going down the list as posted in the other NWA knife thread?

(I hope not, I'm at the end!!!) :)

This is fantastic news. I really didn't expect to see them shipping so soon!

Looks like I should be in the fourth batch... getting excited!!!

Still, no rush. I can wait. Just.

There's going to be a lot of great pictures flooding here soon.

Just a thought: if anyone strugles for picture hosting and needs a few pictures hosting to link into their posts, let me know. I can put them up on some webspace and give you a link to use.

Rick.

OK, OK, don't rub it in. I was away on a training course for a week when payment started! :grumpy:

Look at it this way, Nick will have had more practice by the time he gets to mine ;)

Hmmmm...good point.;)

Yeah well I got all of you beat! I get to be in the last batch! How's that for special. I might even be the last one. Cash was freed up at the last minute so I jumped on and ordered it. Looking forward to it though!

 allright.. can't wait to check this knife out..... that makes a lot more sense to ship them out in small batches.....

wait a minute... that means that mine will be one of the last ones... :( since i am at the bottom of the list.... bummer..... i guess i'll have to buy another knife in the meantime.....:D

Sigh...I'm in one of the last batches too...but like mtnfolk mike said...I guess I'll have to buy another knife in the meantime! Oh, I already did and it arrived today! Becker necker...sweet little tool.

Mike I think you have plenty of neato sharp toys to hold you over. (What am I saying?! You can never have too many!) :D

Holy total awesomeness, Batman! Woot! #13 on the list, which puts me in the 3rd batch! Wow, now I am super-ultra-mega excited!

Thanks Thayne and Nick!

Got mine last night, it is simply amazing. Perfect grind lines, fit and finish is superb. This is my first full blown custom handmade knife and I must say I am extremely impressed. Nick is a true craftsman and an artist with steel.

This knife has done something else. I now realize after years of production knives why everyone suggests customs. You get the design you want, made of the materials you want, and as long as you chose the right maker, perfect fit and finish. I think it will be hard for me to buy production again. So thanks a lot everyone, there goes all my money :D

Now I have to do something very hard. Ship out the knife. Such a beautiful and functional knife needs some good looking and functional custom kydex to ride in.
