I just got my Chris Reeve Nyala in. I'm sending it back because it has "Idaho Made" engraved on it!!! Just kidding. Love the knfie but I hate leather for a sheath. Looking for someone to build a good piece of custom kydex for this. Trick is it has to attach to my Junglas Pack padded waist belt. Belt is 1/2" thick and about 2.5" wide. Any suggestions from those who frequent this forum?

My suggestion is it would be a crime to put something as classically beautiful as that into some tactisexual kydex!!!

Well, it ain't gonna state pretty for long and leather is useless to me. Damn, you color coordinating guys kill me! So, short of carving a sheath out of a piece of oak, what would you suggest?

Hollow out an kudu antler.

But then I have to get a tactical loin cloth made and learn to run around bare-footed fro a month before I can even start that process. Also, have you looked at me lately, I'm a little bit on the Martha White pale side to be thinking of hollowing out a kudu antler! :D

You can still color coordinate. It would look good in a some Chocolate Kydex or maybe Coyote.

Jeff - I'd be really interested to hear what you have to say about how the S35VN steel holds up and maintains during field use.

Great knife you have there.

Please send the knife to me and that will solve all your problems, no sheath will be needed after that!!!!

Get 'ya a custom kydex with drop loop on it ,so it dont poke your side and add a tek-loc to it

It won't poke my side if I wear it all the way to the back where the waist band meets the pack...and I can still access it. How would I know this? Been experiementing :D

As for the steel, I don't even know what S35VN is. I know I will probably knock the shoulders of the edge down a little

I think this is gonna make a pretty decent throwin' knife.

When I have time, I send my knives to him. He can put slots, or whatever configuration you want on the sheath. He has many ideas, and will work with you on color/design/attachment.
