Nyala

Was also wondering how this new steel will preform. Been waiting to get the lg seb till the changeover to s35 and the time has arrived. Would still like to hear some results till I pull the trigger on it.

I could be wrong (have been many times) but I'm not sure that it will be that noticeable to the average user like myself.

The Nyala is a great looking fixed blade..... & the sheath Kiah made goes great with it.....
I like to hear a field report on both the sheath & knife

It'll be a while, Tony. I like to use a knfie for at lest 6 weeks before saying a whole lot about it. With that said, I think I'm going to like it pretty good. can't wait to see how it batons or throws!

Throw that thing my way :p I mean if your chunking it an all :D

Can you shadow ninja wield it aswell and see how it holds up to wind?

Sometimes I think you're speaking a foreign langauage. I don't have a clue as to what you are saying....again

The Crucible datasheet suggests that it has more lateral strength...so better for those who edge-pry? Edge retention looks like it should be very similar...but the carbides may be smaller, so maybe some differences depending on what is being cut...hard to tell.

+1 The S30V on my seb is great steel and dont believe there's that much of a difference in use with S35V. Sure on paper it would look considerably better but in practice?
Definitely not enough to let it make a difference when deciding to get the knife or not.

Hell the only way I can tell steels apart is my carbon steel knives are red/gray and my stainless are shiny silver.

My carbon steel knives pretend they are stainless when I sharpen them.

That's a sick ass rig Kiah. I have admired the Nyala, I'd like to see one in 3V. I may have to pick up a Fehrman knife.
