Josh, I just purchased a CRK Professional Soldier from Northwest Blades. It just came in and I cant figure out the best
way to carry it as my EDC. I live in Boston and our knife laws are very vague. I was wondering how you carry yours? Also anyone familiar with Boston knife laws in terms of fixed blades? I am interested.
I spent awhile last night trying to retie my paracord to make it look nice and have the handle partially wrapped for comfort. I have been wearing as a neck knife underneath my button downs and in my front left pocket.
Doesn't Boston have a city statute that prohibits knives longer than 2 or 3 inches? I think it might only be a civil penalty.I spent awhile last night trying to retie my paracord to make it look nice and have the handle partially wrapped for comfort. I am a CO north of NYC. I will carry my off-duty weapon in NYC as well as my Sebenza or other folders, but I would not carry a fixed blade like that. Why ask for problems...
It is arrest and a $300 fine, plus a permanent CORI criminal record for a weapons conviction. No chance of jail time, though. If you have a Massachusetts pistol permit (License to Carry; LTC Class A or B) such a conviction could be cause for your licensing authority (local police chief) to declare you "not a suitable person" and either revoke the LTC on the spot or refuse to renew it. If you are not a LTC holder, there isn't much to worry about. I EDC a very-well-concealed 4" lock-blade folder; Boston included!Doesn't Boston have a city statute that prohibits knives longer than 2 or 3 inches? I think it might only be a civil penalty.
